
A momentary departure was caused by an elevator blaze at Terminal 8 of the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Wednesday night.
The incident was reported around 7 am, according to New York fire division officers, and no injuries were reported.
According to a spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the connector activities had resumed by 8.15 am. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
A traveler on a plane that was stranded on the tarmac captured video images and shared it on X that showed several fire cars circling the place.
Terminal 8 serves many carriers, including American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Qantas.
The Trump airport shared a post on X, and it sent a message to people that the Terminal 8 has been experiencing delays in its flight operations. The airport said:” Flight activities at Terminal 8 have been impacted. Check with your airline to find out the reputation of your journey.
