In March 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson announced he did not seek reelection. Johnson made the entrance that his management had a bad turn in terms of how the Vietnam War was conducted. His vice president, Hubert Humphrey, received the Democratic candidacy and was trounced in an electoral disaster.
The Biden-Harris leadership is weighed down with its own big problems. That’s why the government’s job approval ratings are also under on every big problem: prices, the economy, the border, crime, and international policy. Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race is a clear indication that his presidency has failed on the most pressing concerns of the day, in no way less than LBJ’s. But at least Biden and Harris occasionally tarnish their positions on these problems.
That’s certainly true for the name guarantee of the 2020 Biden-Harris strategy — uniting the country. Biden formally acknowledged that both he and Vice President Harris failed Americans on this front just days before declaring his intention to withdraw from the race for president. In fact, in his interview with BET last week, Biden did n’t just acknowledge that the country is divided. Otherwise, he conceded that items are even worse than that. In Biden’s comments, the state is” but, so, so divided”.
Unity Was a Centerpiece of the 2020 Promotion
” Unity” was a central theme and core assurance of the 2020 Biden-Harris plan. We all remember that, even if Biden does n’t anymore.
In his triumph speech, Biden said to Americans,” I vow to be a president who seeks not to break, but to unify,” in a speech he delivered days after the election due to the tight results. Biden repeatedly reminded people that he” sought” the president’s office in order to “unite us here at home.”
Biden told the populace that it was “time to throw away the terrible rhetoric.” To lower the temperature. To see each other again. To talk to each other again”. He further proclaimed:” Let this terrible period of demonization in America started to finish — here and now”.
Vice President-elect Harris got into the action too, declaring to Americans:” You chose Joe Biden as the next president of the United States of America. Joe is a doctor. A uniter” . ,  ,
Do we create too much of this Biden-Harris unification commitment? Judge for yourself.
But here is what the left-leaning internet took away from the powerful Biden-Harris seat at the time:” The president-elect’s understanding conversation was a call to unite the state”. They asserted that “at the very least, the Trump administration may change the tone of the president’s language.” The American people have a president-elect who talks about bringing the country along, about being the president for all the people”.
Biden and Harris promised. However, Harris and Biden were completely ineffective. Otherwise, Biden and Harris gave us a nation that is” thus, thus, but divided”. And then Biden acknowledges this.
The Passive Voice Does n’t Offer a Free Pass
Yet as he admitted to the president’s loss, Biden indirectly denied any responsibility for it. When Biden stated,” When I originally ran, I said I was going to get a transitory candidate.” … But I did n’t anticipate things getting so, so, so divided”.
To Biden, it’s a condition that must be described in passive voice. ” Points” just happened to “get” more divisive while he was president. According to Biden, he could n’t even “anticipate” these things. Yes, that’s right, the president who promised to end “demonization in America” in his victory speech now claims he could n’t even anticipate a divided country.
The management is not given a free pass by the quiet tone. As senator, the buck stops with Biden. If Biden is less than proficient — as it certainly appears — therefore, lawfully, the buck stops with Harris. And now that Biden has reportedly withdrawn from the race for president, Harris is also in danger socially. Even if they had n’t promised that Americans would experience the exact opposite of what they did, they are to blame for the national conflict.
Consciously Polarizing
But this is not just a question of duty. It’s a problem of filthy hands. Biden and Harris have played a leading, engaged part in dividing the nation. A simple time and a half into his administration, Biden declared he had no “respect” for “MAGA Republicans”. Those individuals — i. e., individuals who want to make America great again — represent at least one-half of the country. And Biden labeled them” semi-fascists” . ,
Harris duly defended Biden’s ridiculous comments: “]T] these are moments in time when we have to also consent, all great people who care about our state, that there are those who are right now brilliantly not defending our democracy”. To the vice president, if you do n’t support Biden-Harris, you’re not a good person, or you just do n’t care about our country.  ,  ,
Since that time, Biden and Harris have not just stated their disagreements with Republicans. They have uttered a constant stream of obscene lies. They asserted that their fellow Americans were” threats to our freedom” and “determined to destroy our democracy.”
Biden and Harris doubled down on and ratcheted up their strategy of fear and hate as the public began to see through these attacks. They claimed Republicans and their supporters were “worse” than “real racists”. They said we needed to put Trump in a “bullseye”. Then somebody did.
Even longtime allies have recognized, for some time, the administration’s total failure in this regard. ” I’m just tired of hating”, explained Bill Maher. The other half of this nation seems to hate the other half. ” No one would wear a MAGA hat here” in New York City, and “nobody would wear a Biden T-shirt in — I do n’t know — Tennessee. … That’s not a good place for the country to be”.
Biden and Harris both promised not to take us there. Yet they led us there willfully and callously. Biden is now admitting a colossal failure of leadership by his administration, just like LBJ, and leaving the political stage for the last time.
