A person who&nbsp, sparked a weapon scare&nbsp, outside an East Harlem NYPD stationhouse has been criminally charged, officers said Thursday.

For the bizarre series of events that led authorities to discovering an incendiary device inside his vehicle, Chontrell Wrenick, 50, has been charged with various weapons possession raps as well as rape and foolish danger.

The violent —&nbsp, a hose affixed to two plume cans&nbsp, — was a practical device that could have killed or maimed individuals had it detonated, an NYPD spokeswoman said Thursday morning.

Wrenick allegedly struck his aunt with a machete inside the couple’s car on Wednesday, leading to the discovery of the bomb. The aunt was struck in the head and had a minor split.

The wounded aunt drove Wrenick to the 25th Precinct stationhouse near&nbsp, E. 119th St. and Lexington Ave. &nbsp, in East Harlem about 11: 50 a. m. and told officers outside about the invasion.

When the soldiers arrested Wrenick, they learned that there was a weapon inside the vehicle.

Officials called the NYPD’s Crisis Services Unit, who in turn&nbsp, called the NYPD Bomb Squad. A part of the NYPD Bomb Squad wearing a fire fit picked up the item and transported it to a disposal truck and left it there.

On Thursday, police executed a search warrant for Wrenick’s home to check if he had any additional bombs it.

Wrenick’s trial in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Thursday.
