Reputed Hispanic drug lord Ismael” El Mayo” Zambada was forcefully taken into custody by Joaquin Guzman Lopez, brother of the famous Joaquin” El Chapo” Guzman Loera, claims Zambada’s attorney, Frank Perez.
According to the Los Angeles Times record, Perez claims that Guzman Lopez and many men in military uniforms kidnapped and ambushed Zambada before his arrest in the US. The incident took place at a smaller airport close to El Paso, where Zambada pleaded not guilty to various charges, including money laundering and drug trafficking.
The attorney claimed that Guzman Lopez had forcibly restrained Zambada, refuting the claims that his client deliberately boarded the plane or reached terms with the US authorities. My customer allegedly negotiated no words with the US government, according to Perez. Joaquín Guzmán López forcefully kidnapped my client. He was ambushed, thrown to the ground, and handcuffed by six people in military uniforms and Joaquín. His arms were tied, and a bag of charcoal was draped over his head. After that, he was taken to a landing ribbon and then thrown into a delivery vehicle. There, he was forced onto a aircraft, his legs tied to the chair by Joaquín, and brought to the US against his will”. The attorney added that Joaquin Guzman Lopez, the captain, and his client were the only people on board the aircraft.
Guzman Lopez is accused of drug trafficking and his leadership of the Sinaloa cartel, but court records do n’t indicate whether he has entered a plea.
Zambada was tricked into boarding the plane with the intention of entering US place, according to The Times ‘ statements as well. One law enforcement source working in Mexico called Zambada’s arrest an “Epic, once-in-a-lifetime heist” and remarked,” The old gentleman got tricked”.
Perez explained that Zambada was established when Guzman Lopez, a member of the syndicate group known as Los Chapitos, was called to a meeting to discuss the situation.
The energy leading to Zambada’s get apparently involved the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations. The amount of USagencies ‘ involvement in the alleged kidnapping or trip is still undetermined, though. Mexican authorities did not participate in the catch.
” You ask if it was a distribution, if it was capture”, said Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Mexico’s security minister. That is a component of the research and the information we may anticipate coming from the American government.
Zambada, a well-known number in the Mexican drug deal, built the Sinaloa gang into a multibillion-dollar kingdom. Authorities praised his incarceration as a major accomplishment, with the US offering a$ 15 million prize for his capture. Biden claimed that the arrest may help save lives in America.
However, the situations of Zambada’s imprisonment remain cloaked in myth and conflicting reports. One theory suggested he was pressured into flying secret aircrafts, while another suggested he secretly surrendered to be reunited with his brother Vicente Zambada Niebla, who testified against El Chapo and is alleged to be under see protection.
Guzman Lopez’s nephew, Ovidio Guzman Lopez, was extradited from Mexico last year and pleaded not guilty to charges of being a co-leader of Los Chapitos. He is now awaiting trial in Chicago. Their father, Joaquin” El Chapo” Guzman, is serving a life sentence in US national jail.
Ovidio Guzman Lopez was reportedly “released” just before the detention, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons data. But, a Justice Department spokesperson clarified:” Ovidio Guzman Lopez is still in US prison”.
Ovidio is scheduled to appear in court on September 30 according to court documents. According to an unnamed source quoted by the LA Times, he had been placed in protective custody rather than released.
The biographies of the Guzman and Zambada people are intertwined. Zambada’s son, Zambada Niebla, known as” El Vicentillo”, often referred to El Chapo as his” compadre” during his 2019 trial testimony. Zombada Niebla even gave evidence regarding the close relationship between the two rulers, particularly how they handled gang activities.
Perez even represented Zambada Niebla, just as he represents his parents. Two more of Zambada’s children, along with his nephew, Jesus” El Rey” Zambada, have faced justice in the US. Jesus testified against El Chapo, recounting his presence in gang activities.
” They were companions”, Jesus said of the gang frontrunners, detailing their participation in various functions, including helping El Chapo exit from a high-security jail in 2001. ce.
