5, 000 people were affected by the floods that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected on Sunday, according to state advertising Efforts on Monday.
Around 5, 000 people were isolated in Sinuiju, North Korea, and near China-bound areas, according to KCNA, who reported record heavy rains on Saturday.
The defense organised around 10 flights to make about 20 visits each to liberate 4, 200 individuals within about a half-day, KCNA said.
Kim praised the military’s rescue efforts, which he claimed saved 5, 000 life, but he criticised officials for failing to prepare for the emergency response measures to prevent injury brought on by heavy rains, floods, and typhoons, according to KCNA.
Tropical Storm Gaemi’s current heavy rains have caused a disaster that killed 12 people in southern China and caused flash floods somewhere.
