    ‘Latest fakes’: Russia rejects western media speculation over Moscow’s involvement in France railway attack

    The Kremlin criticized the American media’s coverage of Russia’s involvement in a number of attacks against the European rail system as “fake.” They claimed they had often tried to blame Moscow for anything.
    Addressing a press conference on Monday, Kremlin official Dmitry Peskov said,” These are just the latest scams- more unfounded charges”.
    According to Peskov,” there are a lot of these low-grade media, yet respected ones, who have recently not shied away from doing anything to chastise Russia for everything that is happening.”
    However, France’s interior minister Gerald Darmanin said that France suspects people of far-left parties were behind the damage of the road network.
    The police resource reported that European authorities have detained an activist affiliated with an ultra-left activity at a site owned by the national road company SNCF earlier nowadays in a saboteurs attack on France’s train network.
    The man was detained on Sunday at Oissel in northern France and was granted access to SNCF professional facilities, tools, and publications related to the ultra-left, according to the source, who asked not to be identified.
    He was placed in police custody for questioning in Rouen, the principal town of France’s French territory.
    Only hours before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, the rail system was attacked on Friday, causing go conflict and exposing surveillance gaps.
