U. S. Rep. Bryan Steil is giving five stonewalling Biden administration cabinet chiefs five days to comply with his committee’s subpoenas or face “additional remedies for noncompliance” . ,
The Wisconsin Republican chairman of the Committee on House Administration sent follow-up characters to Biden’s attorney general and the department’s secretary of agriculture, health and human services, housing and urban development, and work on Monday, warning them that their tolerance may be waning due to the agency’s failing to turn over documents related to Biden’s constitutionally questionable voter registration system.  ,
Steil demands that Biden’s skeptics turn over the papers by Friday.  ,
The Department may make the legal documentation necessary to fulfill the lawsuit. The Committee will be forced to conduct compelled transcript interviews of numerous Departmental workers and seek more remedies for compliance with a Parliamentary lawsuit as a result of the Congress ‘ failure to comply with the request, the congressman wrote in the letters, which were exclusively provided to The Federalist.  ,
Defying Congress ,
The Biden administration has faced a number of issues with” good faith,” and this is not just one instance of it not doing so in accordance with legislative summons. The release of information about Biden’s so-called” Promoting Access to Voting” executive order, which uses the executive branch to support Democrats ‘ vote and re-election campaigns, has been a particularly bad experience for national authorities.  ,
15 cabinet secretaries and office eyes have been requesting records from Steil since it has been a month and a half since the request was made. Steil’s initial request for the papers related to Biden’s Executive Order 14019, which he requested a month prior, was followed by the June warrants.  ,
With the exception of papers previously made public through press releases and calls for Freedom of Information Act papers, the committee has never received any information to date, according to Steil. In short, the Biden administration is thumbing its nose at the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, defying the will of the first branch.  ,
” Clearly, the letter and production of documents you provided did not comply with the subpoena, were not comprehensive, and virtually all documents that were listed in the’ Schedule to Subpoena’ were not included in the production”, the congressman wrote in his warning letter to Xavier Becerra, secretary of Health and Human Services.  ,
‘Bidenbucks’
The executive order, which was merely intended to encourage voter registration, was signed by Biden in March 2021. However, documents obtained by the Oversight Project of the Heritage Foundation and other watchdog groups revealed far-left organizations working with federal and state agencies on targeted voter registration and mobilization campaigns to turn out traditionally Democratic voters.
Critics have referred to it as” Bidenbucks,” a nod to Mark Zuckerberg’s alleged contributions to the Covid-captive 2020 election’s hundreds of millions of dollars in so-called election administration grants. Democratic stronghold cities received the majority of the funding to help them target left-leaning voters.  , As I reported earlier this year, however, Bidenbucks is making” Zuckbucks” look like chump change.
Congressional Republicans have sought details on the program, only to be bogged down by an intransigent administration. Without the consent of Congress, the Administration Committee wants to know how much taxpayer money is being spent and exactly what is being spent.  ,
” Troubling to the Committee”
HHS, like the other agencies subpoenaed, provided the committee with previously available records. The agency, for instance, responded to the committee’s subpoena with information about the Health Care Marketplace. Steil’s letter to the secretary states that HHS has n’t provided any details about its plans to register voters at any of its numerous locations throughout the country.  ,
Federal organizations were required to develop a strategic plan outlining how the voter registration campaign would be implemented by Biden’s executive order. None of the information provided in the unsatisfactory responses to the subpoenas was provided by the departments under congressional watch. Additionally, they neglected to mention communications between the left-wing organizations that are allegedly supporting the administration, a list that includes dozens of hard-left activists, including Vot-ER and AFL-CIO.  ,
Watchdog groups have received documents from HHS’ Administration for Children and Families that reference” Action items and milestones” as well as an “updated spreadsheet, with revised action items and milestones” from the agency. The committee received those communications from the organization.
It also did not turn over a plan to transform 1, 400-plus Community Health Centers— which have more than 14, 000 sites — “into Voter Registration Hubs”, Steil’s letter states. The agency also failed to release communications involving the Office of Refugee Resettlement or the” selection of particular Indian Tribes for voter registration through the Indian Health Service.”  ,
The committee wants all of the materials to be made available.  ,
Additionally, the Committee finds it troubling that the Department would comply with its statutory obligations under the FOIA statutes and make available documents without complying with a Congressional subpoena, Steil wrote.  ,
The rules also apply to you.
Attorney General Merrick Garland’s politically weaponized Department of Justice provided the committee a single document, Steil’s letter says. Titled,” Know Your Voting Rights: Your Guide to federal Voting Rights Laws”, the packet was already available on the agency’s website.  ,
The DOJ, which is in charge of enforcing the laws, has consistently prioritized itself over others during Garland’s tenure there. After department officials instructed two employees to omit from depositions in the Republicans ‘ impeachment investigation into Biden earlier this year, a federal judge criticized the DOJ.  ,
” The rules apply to you all too”, U. S. District Judge Ana Reyes scolded department lawyers at a hearing in April, NBC News reported.  ,
House Republicans demanded that Garland turn over the audio recording of Biden’s conversation with the special counsel overseeing the president’s investigation into classified documents earlier this month. The special prosecutor allegedly escaped criminal prosecution because the prosecution alleged that the octogenarian “would likely present himself to a jury as he did during our interview of him as an elderly, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” at trial. The DOJ absurdly denied the release of the audio recording because it was the last day to comply with the congressional subpoena.  ,
‘ Crucial in Toppling ‘ Trump
Steil wrote that the Department of Housing and Urban Development has n’t released a” substantial volume of documents” in a letter to Adrianne Todman, the agency’s acting secretary. In fact, HUD only provided four documents, according to Steil, including a release about a Biden administration policy that gave federal employees paid time off to vote.  ,
According to Steil, the organization” as the Department issued guidance” to the executive directors of more than 3, 000 public housing authorities regarding “run]ning ] voter registration drives through public housing agencies” in a reportedly selected locations throughout the United States.  ,
Additionally, the chairman continued,” Federal Housing Officials have advised local agencies on the steps of applying to become a voter registration agency, as well as setting up “drop boxes for ballots on the premises.”  ,
In 2020, Zuckerbucks and the efforts to target left-leaning voters taught the leftist organizations that are frequently at the forefront of federalized GOTV initiatives a lot.  ,
In the months leading up to the 2020 election, “intentional efforts to engage these voter]s ] were crucial in converting low-income voters to low-income voters,” according to a report from the leftist” Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.” The targeted campaigns, according to Far-left organization Far-left Common Dreams, were” crucial in toppling” Republican President Donald Trump.  ,
The leftists are once more targeting millions more of voters who are left-leaning, this time using all of the resources available from the federal government. According to Steil, the secretive Biden administration should provide answers to the American people.
” The , Biden-Harris administration continues trying to , hide their strategic plan to use federal taxpayer dollars for partisan, get-out-the-vote activities”, the congressman told The Federalist. ” We know these agencies have developed and begun implementing get-out-the-vote efforts, yet they continue to defy our subpoena , request” . ,
