‘Thirteen Heroes’ Spirits Funds a Foundation That Honors Fallen Military

I purchased a bottle of whiskey from my neighborhood deal store next week. One of my favorite songs, Johnny Drum, was missing when I took my Kentucky getaway in the springtime. However, I was moved to try something new after seeing a show that made me toss that container.

Thirteen Champions Spirits was the subject of the show. A few different cognac types, as well as vodka and rum, were available on the shelf. I tried it because it appeared to be a great bourbon that would help a worthwhile cause for a good cause.

I was so impressed with the cognac that I knew I had to tell the story. I reached over to Thirteen Champions and the basis that it represents, Banners of the Fallen, for an appointment, and I spoke to Mike Morgan, who founded Flags of the Fallen and launched Thirteen Champions.

The tragic American withdrawal from Kabul, Afghanistan, in 2021 gave rise to both the base and the range of spirits. Morgan decided to honor the fallen at Abbey Gate in Kabul as a result of the loss of 13 service members.

” I’ve got a small wood shop in my room, little complex, but I just like to make American colors and offer them to buddies”, Morgan said. So I decided to make 13 banners at that point. On each line, I wanted to list the names of each of the 13 soldiers we lost. And I was going to give them to the 13 people”.

Morgan’s original symbol venture turned out well, but normally, it expanded after married parents and extended family members asked for colors. Then the banners expanded significantly.

” So the requests kept coming, but then the big request was — and I’ll never forget this,’ And if we can ask one more favor, it would be, do n’t stop with us,'” he said. And that hits you in the neck immediately.

Morgan established Banners of the Fallen as a volunteer and pledged to make banners for fallen primary firefighters as well. People may nominate a gone service representative or first officer, and Flags of the Fallen will designate their immediate family. Additionally, donations are available to help create colors.

” We have to show people: select, donate, and radiate. That’s our three phrases”, he explained. ” Select people, get them in the lane. If individuals donate, we get to it faster. Radiate, share all on social advertising, and we’re still doing a bad job of that. But, you know, there’s only so many hours a day, and we’re going to get better at that once in period. Therefore, the faster everyone moves the more individuals do those three points.

After comparing his job to that of other bases, Morgan came to the conclusion that donors are frequently more receptive to receiving a reward. But Thirteen Heroes Souls was born — with daring, bold plans.

” We created Thirteen Champions to try and bring in a income stream to then help, not only for us to pay for all for Banners of the Fallen, but we want to, in day, pay for all of their bases”, he said. ” And I ca n’t wait for the day when one of them picks up the phone and says,’ Hey, Mike, there’s a service member in need in Salt Lake City, Utah, you help them out.’ Here we go. The surf size checks will be carried out by us. And you know, we’ve got a lot of ways to get to, but we’ll get it”.

100 % of the profits from Morgan’s launch of Thirteen Heroes will go to the foundations that the 13 heroes ‘ families have established. Additionally, he has ideas for a business model that would enable veterans to sell Thirteen Heroes across different states.

Thirteen Champions has four scotches, a rum, and a liquor, and tequila is coming quickly to the mix. I can attest to the softness that the distiller achieves by using a proprietary process that yields spirits that are three times as real as those of other brands.

The scotches include an 87-proof type, which is the one I’ve tried, and a 100-proof type with a similar taste page. They’re both clean because of that amazing process. Thirteen Champions also has a single-barrel multitude, which sits in the 126-130 evidence variety, and a powdered whiskey that may appeal to enthusiasts of Scotch.

Be cautious because Thirteen Heroes ‘ vodka is so pure that drinkers wo n’t be able to taste it in their beers. Morgan said that the gin “is n’t your grandmother’s gin”, rather it’s botanical that’s “almost citrusy”. He’s even excited about the cognac, which may launch quickly.

Thirteen Champions is only available in Georgia-area stores right now, but Morgan claims Morgan’s team is developing an e-commerce software that will allow customers to purchase the items on a variety of levels. The 13 soldiers ‘ information and cocktail foods will also be available on the new website.

” When we started this, I did n’t know the families at all. They did n’t know me from Adam”, Morgan confessed. ” I have gotten to know these people a bit, some more than others, Some are more personal, and I completely respect that. But I am in astonishment of the fact that they have taken this drama, which is the single worst god-awful time of their lives, and about across the board, it has made them more nationalistic, more in love with this land, and more supportive of the military. And, you know, I do n’t know how they get out of bed each day. But that they did that only raises my admiration for them. That is just mind-boggling. Again, I ca n’t wrap my head around it, but I’m honored to know them”.

Morgan is proud of Thirteen Soldiers and what it represents.

” It is a world-class item, and we want to create the life much of everybody who follows in those 13 soldiers ‘ shoes”, he said. ” That’s the goal of this. So we decided to recruit everyone who would like to learn this to help out with that. Either go out and buy a drink, or go out and make a contribution. Apparently, getting involved to aid us support them”.
