A new report claims that would-be killer Thomas Matthew Crooks made over 25 “firearms-related payments” over the past month under a false name before shooting original President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this month.

According to law enforcement sources, 20-year-old Crooks attempted to conceal his net shopping activity by attempting to conceal his purchases made over 25 times under a false name since last spring. According to the sources, Crooks made an effort to keep his website action a secret, which suggested he had planned something far in advance of the former president’s campaign rally in Butler.

The New York Post reported that law enforcement sources had no access to background checks and identification checks before making the majority of purchases from gun-related products, despite The New York Post’s report that the outlet noted that federal law mandates that individuals have these checks before they can obtain the majority of firearms.

According to sources, Crooks also made the incendiary devices law enforcement found in his car and home by purchasing six” chemical predecessors” in the first half of the year. Additionally, buying of substance precursors were made in a false name.

Prior to the attempted assassination of Trump, Crooks conducted research into the 1963 assassination of former president John F. Kennedy, including how distant murderer Lee Harvey Oswald was when Kennedy was shot. The 20-year-old researched a number of U.S. officials and a British imperial national while collecting weapons and other items for the July 13 death attempt.

Crooks even conducted research into power plants, mass shootings, and the execution effort against Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico, according to The New York Post.

The would-be killer started shooting as a hobby before switching when he began taking firearms groups last fall, according to sources who told The New York Post.

Crooks went to a local shooting range the day before the assassination attempt against Trump and practiced his marksmanship with his father’s DPMS DR-15 rifle, which is reportedly a resellable AR-15 rifle, which is about$ 700. The DPMS DR-15 weapons was the tool Crooks used to take the former leader in the ear, remove one protest attendee, and destroy two others.
