According to the American Meteor Society, on July 30 and July 31, there will be two meteor showers that will light up the night sky. One can enjoy up to 25 comets per hour, depending on where they are located.
Peaks may be experienced together by the Southern Delta Aquariids and the Alpha Capricornids.
” It’s just an awesome coincidence”, said Nicholas Moskovitz, a planetary scientist at Lowell Observatory in Arizona, according to CNN.
Having two asteroid showers top within 24 hours is” a little bit unusual”, Moskovitz told Live Science. However, is it possible to see many showers at once in a single day? Certainly not to remarkable”.
    When and where to see
Meteor rain occur when Earth’s orbit intersects a planet’s way, causing the rough particles left behind by the comet to fire up as it enters Earth’s atmosphere. Earth did orbit comet 96P/Machholz, which will cause the Southern Delta Aquariids to reach their peak on July 29 to July 30 and comet 169P/NEAT, which causes the Alpha Capricornids to reach their peak on July 30 to July 31.
According to Robert Lunsford of the American Meteor Society, Wednesday evening is the best time to watch both rain. As the sun wanes, it loses about 8 % lighting each day, which can prevent the visibility of darker comets. On Monday, the moon will be about 34 % full, and on Wednesday it will be 16 % full, according to Nasa’s Daily Moon Guide.
    Best seeing problems
The double asteroid bathtub will be greatest viewed in the Southern Hemisphere, where the glowing, or the noticeable point from which the wash originates, will be almost behind. If they have a clear view of the southern sky, people in the northern hemisphere can also see the asteroid rain. Both meteor rain may continue until mid-August.
According to Moskovitz, “almost all asteroid showers occur in the early morning hours between 2 and 4 am.” Your best chance of seeing meteors is to visit a black site and do so after nightfall, so that’s why you want to get either of these.
    Observing tips
The best way to see both rain is through the obverse. A new pair of binoculars or a nice garden camera may be helpful for various skywatching events this time.
    The technology behind asteroid showers
Because of their predetermined orbits around the sun, asteroid rain occur frequently. These showers can last for an hour or more depending on the comet’s capacity to transfer debris and how long the debris has been in space. According to Moskovitz, who is in charge of the Lowell Observatory Cameras for All-Sky Meteor Surveillance ( LO-CAMS ), a network of cameras monitoring meteors, it is crucial to ensure the safety of spacecraft and people traveling in space.
Southwestern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids
At its peak, the Southern Delta Aquariids may display around 20 to 25 comets per hour, compared to “background” meteor showers that generally show around five comets per hour. According to Moskovitz, the Southern Delta Aquariids may appear “pretty faint.” You must first travel to a darker location, stay away from traffic and lamps, use your phone, and allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness so that you can see some of those tiny objects.
In comparison, the Alpha Capricornids are less frequent but usually produce “bright orbs with bigger meteor fragments coming in, burning away, and getting brighter, making for a more impressive show”, Moskovitz explained. These brilliant meteors are composed of marble-sized contaminants, while the darker meteors are generally grain-sized.
