Okay, great. Vice President Kamala Harris has always held a title of “border czar” in the official government. However, the anchor line is not cut by the media truth checkers and political supporters who have firmly opposed her removal from that ambiguous title. As though this ridiculous debate over rhetoric relieves her of responsibility for the worst mass migration crisis in British history.  ,
The president of the United States assigned Harris to “lead the work” of the government’s personal border protection plan, the main one he chose above all others, for ending size illegal immigration over the southern border. That plan was to reduce the so-called “root causes “spurring outmigration from its most common options — Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, likewise known as the Northern Triangle.
The president and his best lieutenants viewed Harris as the heart of his whole border-management strategy because they believed he had a strong desire to bring in aspiring emigrants to be home instead.
” I look forward to engaging in politics with government, with secret field, with civil society, and … the leaders of each in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to enhance democracy and the rule of legislation, and assure shared prosperity in the region”, Harris responded after her presidential nomination at a March 24, 2021, press event announcing her new part.
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan reiterated a few months later that Harris would “lead the Administration’s work on our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle, a testament to the importance this administration places on improving conditions in the region.”
Inalterable Numbers
Hard, unreliable facts also demonstrate that Harris ‘ leadership in implementing the U.S. root causes doctrine was the most complete failure in American history. Because the top team allowed the majority of the foreign nationals to enter and remain, it is appropriate to blame her and her boss for what happened to our nation as a result. In 36 months, there were 10 million foreign nationals crossing the southern border.
Before Covid, in fiscal year 2019, U. S. Border Patrol apprehended a total of 609, 775 Guatemalans, Hondurans, and Salvadorans crossing the border. That number was 701 and 049 by the end of Harris ‘ first year over the root causes strategy in 2021. During the next two years of Harris overseeing the root causes doctrine, Border Patrol encountered another 1, 036, 904 such immigrants.
Border Patrol has yet to encounter another 347, 911, which will total more than half a million by the end of the fiscal year on October 1. So far this fiscal year, through the end of June, Border Patrol has encountered another 347, 911. In those four years, there were far more than 2 million more Northern Triangle immigrants.
The Biden administration pledged a$ 3 billion downpayment to Central America over four years, including$ 860.6 million in fiscal year 2022 and$ 986 million in fiscal year 2023, to somehow cover up the bad conditions in the source countries without explaining how, when, or providing accountability benchmarking.
Harris showed no reluctance to downplay, hide, or diminish her role leading this essential administration strategy. In fact, she later held press conferences to guaranty that her leadership had helped encourage some American businesses to invest in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
Borrowing from Europe a Miserable Strategy
Failure was inevitable because the root causes doctrine was a complete lie. The administration merely borrowed the concept from leftists in Europe, who had been having trouble doing it for 40 years. That’s right.
Star-struck American media never bothered to look into its long, agoras or request information on how much it would cost when the Biden campaign in 2020 first adopted Europe’s failed liberal social engineering experiment as its main immigration policy. No one asked when, exactly, the White House would consider Central America “fixed” enough to declare U. S. border security success.
As Harris prepares to take on her boss’s position, it’s time to finally step in. Never too late to make up for earlier mistakes made in journalism.
Campaign reporters should be aware that the approach never worked when a cursory look at Europe’s early 1980s pilot programs uncovered “root causes.” For instance, the policy think tank Mignex, a project funded by the European Union, reviewed ten studies that examined investments in development aid over the course of more than ten years to reduce the number of people moving to Europe from developing nations.
” In its current form, development aid does not seem to be big enough to create the underlying changes that affect migration decisions”, the Mignex report concluded, in part. A noticeable impact would require an unrealistic increase in aid, according to the statement “in cases where we do see a deterrent effect of aid on migration.”
Hein de Haas, a social scientist, wrote for the International Institute of Social Studies in 2007 that “aside the limited scope and credibility of these policies, empirical and theoretical evidence strongly suggests that economic and human development increases people’s capacities and aspirations and typically occurs at the same time as an increase rather than a decrease in emigration.”
Harris never once questioned the decision to continue, not even when other factors began to undermine the entire concept of the absurd root causes stratagem aimed at just the Northern Triangle countries. For instance, the main causes that supporters of rebuilding Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador do not account for the fact that more than 45 percent of those who are in the grip of the crisis do so from 100+ other wrecked nations, including Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Are Americans required to pay for the removal of those nations ‘ primary causes of immigration, or are any poor people whose citizens will choose to relocate here next? This glaring question is ignored by both Harris supporters and political reporters. Harris, who was in charge of the three-country strategy, never provided any insight.
Harris’s Role
The vice president and her supporters have always sided with selling the poisonous elixir, but what Americans really need to know from the media is that no matter what its ingredients are, they have no business selling it. During an , April 2021 state visit to Central America, the border czar, or whatever else you want to call her, laid blame for the surge in illegal immigration on “extensive storm damage because of extreme climate”. She kept going with “food scarcity” as a result.
Harris deserves to be held accountable because he is aware that Harris ‘ only true purpose was to “open the border” while ignoring the root-causes doctrine. Progressive liberals are aware that its true purpose is to complement and replace American detention, detention, and deterrence, which actually lead to immigrants staying at home.
The Biden administration left the border gates open, so while taxpayer dollars somehow managed to rebuild three nations on a dubious timeline ( a questionable proposition ). While Harris was in charge, the real solution was still being worked out.
Harris must still be able to defend her role in the worst border crisis in American history by supporting and abetted both in office, whether you call her the “border czar” or just the person in charge of the administration’s main policy approach to the border.
