” So I do n’t know, is she Indian or is she Black? But you know what, I regard either one, but she certainly does n’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a rapid she made a move, and she went- she became a Black people”, Trump said.
The statement’s label as “insulting” was even denounced by the White House.
Harris, who is of Jamaican and Indian traditions, referred to Trump’s word as the US senator and said,” We all remember what those four decades were like, and now we got yet another warning. This day, Donald Trump spoke at the monthly meeting of the National Association of Black Journalists, and it was the same old show, the partisanship and the contempt. Let me just say, the British people deserve better”.
Calling herself and others like her as” the losers in this competition”, Harris said,” We are not fighting against anything. We are fighting for everything. We know how much is at play”.
