A figure is seen moving across the roof of the American Glass Research ( AGR ) building just before gunfire erupted at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, according to a newly released video from James Copenhaver, one of the victims critically injured in the assassination attempt against former US President Trump, according to Fox News.
In the movie, recorded at 6: 08 am on July 13, the man is seen on the roof of the building opposite to where Trump was speaking. The person appears at the one-second mark and continues to be accessible until about 2:50.
Specialists believe that shooter Thomas Crooks, aged 20, began shooting with a folding AR-15-style rifle three days afterwards, at about 6: 11 p. Counter guns quickly responded, mortally shooting Crooks. Eight shell casings were discovered close to his system by law enforcement.
In his attempt to assassinate the former president, Crooks painfully killed 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, a husband, father, and past fire captain at the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Department. Crooks even critically wounded Copenhaver, 74, and David Dutch, 57, with both patients sustaining two bullet wounds.
Copenhaver’s attorney, Joseph Feldman of the Law Offices of Max C. Feldman, claims that he was not filming when he was shot. Copenhaver had stopped recording when spectators turned to a projection screen, according to Friedman.
When the first photographs rang out, Trump and his rallygoers turned their heads as immigration figures were projected onto a large display. Feldman recounted Copenhaver’s knowledge:” He had nearly seen or heard something whiz past him, which we’re assuming was a shot. He felt it on his shoulder, and he looked down at his arm…and felt pain immediately, but he had n’t also realised he had been shot a second day at that point. It could have been shock”, as per Fox information.
FBI officials disclosed during a press call on Monday that Crooks had gained access to the roof of the AGR building by climbing HVAC equipment and piping. He then traversed multiple rooftops before positioning himself on top of the AGR building, where he had a direct line of sight to the former president.
Crooks flew a helicopter about 200 miles from the former president’s residence on the day of the march and parked his car between 3:50 and 4 o’clock. During a congressional hearing on July 17th, FBI Director Christopher Wray claimed Crooks had been present at the march site for about 70 hours the day of the assassination attempt.
The FBI is also trying to figure out Crooks ‘ motivation for the shooting.
