Eric Nicholas Gapco, a 26-year-old from Delanco, New Jersey, caused a commotion on American Airlines flight 2101 from Seattle to Dallas on July 18, leading to an incident landing in Utah, according to national authorities who arrested him.
Gapco, who eventually admitted to consuming 10 pot edibles before the event, began acting wildly during the trip. He removed his clothing, used a smoke pencil, shouted, and made intimate developments towards a flight attendant, regulators and reviews said.
According to national authorities, the disruptive passenger also allegedly assaulted a member of the crew and repeatedly attempted to open the jet’s outside windows.
A naked Gapco allegedly yells” I am reasonable” on video that was obtained by KSLTV! as flight staff try to pacify him near the plane’s room. Crew members restrained the captain’s hands and feet while the skipper made an emergency landing in Salt Lake City when he refused to take his chair back.
During the journey, Gapco also allegedly tried to give another customer a backpack containing unexplained medications, according to prosecutors.
Upon getting at Salt Lake City International Airport, Gapco was arrested. During the arrest, he reportedly broke a glass doorway and spat on an officer, as stated by lawyers.
The FBI Salt Lake City Field Office and the Salt Lake City Police Department are already looking into the event. In a movement for his incarceration, prosecutors noted that Gapco” continued to be aggressive” and” aggressive with health staff and the authorities”.
