Kids who are known as” control oddities” had installed a surveillance camera in their 20-year-old daughter’s room in a shocking event that has caused a stir on social media.
A second-year college student reportedly sought assistance from Beijing officers on July 26 after a desperate plea for liberation from her harsh household atmosphere, according to the South China Morning Post.
Li shared the gruesome details of her parents ‘ abusive behavior, including physical abuse and the destruction of her phone whenever she lacked integrity. She was traumatized by the continuous monitoring and terrible treatment. In an attempt to acquire independence, Li planned to find part-time work in Beijing and save money. She contacted the police to let them know she was okay, assuming that her parents might discover her absent and set up a picture.
Li was comforted by police officer Zhang Chuanbin, who acknowledged that her parents ‘ deeds were misguided expressions of treatment. He reached out to the few, urging them to respect their older child’s need for private room. Eventually, the Beijing authorities reported that Li’s parents had agreed to remove the lens, and she had returned house.
In China, this is not a singular affair. After his passing the entrance examination for Gaokao University, a family in Jiangsu state thanked a security camera in June for “accomplishing my son for six years.” Despite worries about a breach of privacy, the mummy defended the camera’s use as the only way to enhance her son’s academic achievement.
The use of security cameras is not particularly regulated by China’s Minor Protection Law, which only regulates the protection of adolescents. Some parents on island social media still openly admit to having monitors in their children’s bedrooms.
