Lahore: Imprisoned past Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan has approved the formation of a “grand opposition empire” by expanding the existing system, Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ayin-e-Pakistan, to work as a strong anti-government motion, a senior party leader has said. Former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser, who addressed reporters alongside the party’s secretary-general Omar Ayub Khan outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail where the 71-year-old former cricketer-turned-politician is lodged since last August, said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ( PTI ) has decided to expand the opposition alliance in a meeting with Imran Khan on Thursday, Geo News reported.
Qaiser made the announcement that the erstwhile ruling party would organize a strong anti-government movement from all opposition parties. He claimed that the group’s upcoming energy present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swabi was intended to “build up a strong tone” for the launch of the PTI creator and another imprisoned leaders.
” This country will only be governed in accordance with the law and the Constitution”, Qaiser emphasised.
During his handle, Qaiser even rebuked the former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz-led alliance government over skyrocketing energy costs. He said the swollen energy costs were “unacceptable” for the inflation-hit people.
The PTI president also said that they support Jamaat-e-Islami’s ( Hua ) sit-in- afoot on Rawalpindi’s Murree Road since July 26- against the huge hike in energy costs.
But, JI Emir Hafiz Naeem thy Rehman has stated that his party will not be a part of the PTI-posted grand alliance because history suggests that opposition parties use these platforms for self-interest.
Naeem stated on Thursday that we will remain open to discussions with the opposition parties on some concerns and keep discussions with them.
Ayub made the exact press conference announcement and urged the populace to show unity with the former top at the people getting in Swabi on August 5.
Ayub responded to criticism from the PTI chairman for requesting talks with the Pakistan Army, saying that the two sides had not discussed the subject. He added that Khan had made it clear that the government was the country’s responsibility and vice versa.
He added that the Pakistan Muslim League-N and Pakistan Peoples Party ( PPP ) were attempting to scuttle the country’s military.
The opposition leader said that they were battling legal battles for Khan’s launch as they discussed the cases involving the imprisoned ex-prime secretary. Despite not having any connections to the Toshakhana corruption case, Ayub blamed the National Accountability Bureau ( NAB) for preventing former First Lady Bushra Bibi’s release.
According to Geo News, the PTI director general demanded that the CJP’s Qazi Faez Isa and IHC’s Chief Justice Aamer Farooq recuse themselves from hearing the PTI owner’s situations.
The strong military establishment is allegedly arranging his arrest in more cases, according to the PTI, to prevent him from leaving jail.
Khan was first arrested by the National Accountability Bureau ( NAB) in a 190-million-pound corruption case. He has been in prison since August of last year and faces more than 200 charges.
