Last week’s American Federation of Teachers ( AFT ) convention was, effectively, a campaign rally for Vice President Kamala Harris. The labour union officially endorsed Harris next Tuesday, and it spent a lot of time demonizing her and supporting her.  ,
The union did not discuss how to address the disastrous learning loss brought on by the intentional lengthening of the school closures during the week. Additionally, it failed to address the serious absenteeism problems or the breakdown of discipline that has caused many of its members to be uncomfortable at work. Neither did Harris, who focused on student loan withdrawal, gun control, and repeating a misleading tale about Florida’s parental rights law.
The AFT and Harris would want to shout it from the rooftops if the kids were doing well. But there is terribly much to talk about for government-run teaching. Four decades since the Covid-19 lockdowns, and after$ 189.5 billion in federal relief funding for K-12 schools, students are also struggling.  ,
The Defense of Freedom Institute for Policy Studies exposed some big-city districts , that wasted money on things like shore excursions and La “reparations” while pupil learning suffered. A , new research  , from the NWEA found that 8th students are a full academic year behind in reading and math.  ,
The coalition would rather try to solve a problem it helped to create than to force fundamentalist elections. For a union that claims to care about# RealSolutions, it does n’t seem to offer any — besides, of course, voting for Kamala Harris.  ,
On the conference’s last time, President Biden had a scheduled speech, but Harris made an appearance instead. In a smart swap, Biden avoided having to struggle in front of the cams once more and gave Harris level day in front of a sizable audience.
However, no everyone present was appreciative of her. Noting that some delegates opposed Harris ‘ place on Israel, which conflicts with the government’s established status in support of a peace, AFT president Randi Weingarten stood on the primary step and , begged viewers members not to protest , during Harris ‘ conversation.
Weingarten stated,” This is the first female African American AAPI candidate to run for president.” I’m urging everyone to honor their social obligations to one another and refrain from protesting in the hall. She lamented that the media would “zero in on the disagreement” . ,
Weingarten and Harris both have motivation to succeed in life. According to his fervent support for school choice and his opposition to the leftist plan, teachers union bosses are terrified of a subsequent Donald Trump name. They are aware that there will be a Harris leadership if they want another alliance in the White House.
In returning, Harris needs the AFT to organize its members and money for her plan. The AFT , shelled out$ 46.9 million  , on its political efforts last year, according to Americans for Fair Treatment. In order to win the 2020 presidential election, the union actually organized a bus tour. That help is essential, as are the votes of the AFT’s people, who are now 1.8 million powerful.  ,
Early indications indicate that Harris and Biden are easily transferring their support. AFT Massachusetts announced in a message earlier this month that it was “going all in” to appoint Democrats “up and down the vote” for Donald Trump. The coalition solicited participants for its get-out-the-vote staff, which may make calls and knock on doors in surrounding states for Biden’s election.
The promotion efforts planned for Biden would now be directed solely toward Harris, according to a union standard who confirmed the email’s integrity. The coalition, just like the Democrat party, is easily swapping one for the other.
The government’s business is elections, and business is booming. In addition, individuals continue to fall behind as a result of the symbiotic relationship between politicians and union leaders, and their families are clamoring for a way out of the crooked method.  ,
