About 20 000 people in Bago, Myanmar, have been forced from their homes by flooding caused by heavy downpours, and they now face a severe shortage of food and water, according to help workers and residents on Monday.
A child was swept aside and drowned near Bago, which is famous for its Buddhist temples, about 80 km ( 50 kilometers ) north of the original investment of Yangon, after weeks of continuous rain, people said.
