Brianna Solari, a caregiver from Roseville, California, said that she faced a troubling situation when she was asked to leave a Southwest Airlines aircraft over her body condition.
Solari explained that she lacks a specific enzyme, neurofibromin, which is a tumor silencer. ” I lack an protein, which is neurofibromin, which is a tumor suppressor. So cancers grow along emotions and can be small, tiny identify tumors, or they can become huge. Some of them can be very disfiguring”, the caregiver told KCRA.
After its removal on Wednesday, Solari was prepared to fly back to Sacramento the next day on Southwest Flight 3471 at 12.10 pm ( local time ).
A crew member reportedly asked her to leave the aircraft after she boarded, according to the New York Post.
” I exited the flight, and they said there had been some fears”, Solari recounted.” ‘ Do you have any, you know, health problems, or conditions?’ And I said, never, I had surgery”, she explained to KCRA. ” That’s none of their business what’s going on. But I said, never, I had operation. And they said,’ Okay.'”

Due to a health problem, a woman was badly denied entry to Southwest Airlines.

The crew member prevented Solari from speaking with the doctor because the flight had already contracted with them to make a phone call.
Throughout the event, Solari said that she experienced a range of emotions, feeling” Shamed, uncomfortable, guilty? It’s already hard much. Because I had some obvious tumors on my face and arms, and people would comment, that’s currently difficult enough with this condition.
After missing her first journey, Solari was required to get a notice from her doctor letting her take a new journey to Sacramento. However, this did not change her sentiments toward the airport. ” I do n’t think I’ll ever fly them again. I think this could have been handled little more professionally”, Solari said. They ought to have waited until they have all the information before making a choice that eventually affected my day, my flight, my travels, and how Southwest entire has changed.
Southwest Airlines apologized and said in a statement to the Post,” We are disheartened about the Company’s knowledge flying with us and express our sincere apologies for the trouble.” ” Even though our team ultimately received clearance for the customer to travel, we were n’t able to do so in time for the flight’s departure. The airport spoke with her immediately about the situation, and we rebooked her for a later trip, gave her a travel voucher for a subsequent flight, and gave her a meal voucher,” the spokesperson added.
The airline offered Solari a$ 500 flight voucher and a$ 45 meal voucher, but she is still considering legal action, according to KCRA.
Solari believes the condition was unfair and violated her health protection, asserting,” This is definitely prejudice! Violating my physician protection. They do n’t have to know I just said I had surgery, and that should be it. They should n’t be prying into my private medical information”.
