After a recent review revealed that the plan was plagued by widespread fraud, the Biden-Harris leadership has temporarily halted a contentious emigration program that allows tens of thousands of immigrants to enter the country each month.
The Department of Homeland Security ( DHS) told Fox News that the Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela ( CHNV ) parole program, which allows as many as 30, 000 immigrants to be flown into the United States each month, was paused “out of an abundance of caution”.
A DHS spokesperson said that while conducting a review of follower programs, DHS has briefly paused the release of superior go authorizations for new recipients. ” DHS will resume software processing as quickly as possible, with suitable protection”.
A parliamentary source, according to Fox News, told the outlet that the contentious program’s temporary pause was put in place last month after an internal investigation found significant fraud in the sponsor’s applications for the immigration program.
” DHS has oversight procedures in place to identify and stop illegal immigration practices.” DHS takes any misuse of its procedures quite seriously”, a DHS director said. ” Where fraud is identified, U. S.  , Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE )  , will investigate and litigate applicable cases in immigration court and make criminal referrals to the Department of Justice” . ,
The inner investigation, according to Fox News, revealed that 3, 218 sequential partners filled out 100, 948 partner forms, and that at least 20 of the forms had their number on them. Also, the report discovered that 24 of the 1, 000 most used figures were attributed to a dying man.
Fox News reported that 100 natural names, including storage units, were used between 124 and 739 days on more than 19, 000 types. The review found that one company’s telephone number was used on more than 2, 000 varieties, while 2, 839 types had non-existent postal codes.
House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn. ) cited the recent report as” confirming every warning we have ever issued regarding the unlawful CHNV mass-parole program.”
However, former Acting Secretary of DHS Chad Wolf tweeted,” This is not a wonder and was predictable. Each probation application was being evaluated separately, according to what we were told. That was an excellent stay and the result is undesirable”.
