Nancy Pelosi, the original consultant to the US, urged the addition of US President Joe Bidento Mount Rushmore on Sunday in an overstated request. Biden was described as a” significant president of the United States” by Pelosi and suggested he should share a seat alongside the monument’s recognizable numbers.
” You’ve got Teddy Roosevelt up it, and he’s wonderful”, Pelosi said during an exam on CBS News Sunday.
” I’m not saying take him down, but you could include Biden”, she added.
Following his most recent contentious debate with Donald Trump on CNN, Biden announced he would not find re-election and supported Vice President Kamala Harris.
Pelosi’s participation in Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential contest was rumored to be in part due to concerns about his possibilities of defeating Trump.
Before, former President Donald Trump, had also hinted at his wish to be included on Mount Rushmore, saying,” Sounds like a good idea to me” when asked.
He denied, but, that his leadership had contacted Republican governor of South Dakota Kristi Noem to arrange for it to be made a reality.
Mount Rushmore, featuring the 60-foot-high eyes of President George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln, stands as a” monument to democracy”.
These presidents were chosen by sculptor Gutzon Borglum for their important contributions to American history: George Washington for establishing the union and ending slavery, and Franklin for encouraging commercial innovation. Between 1927 and 1941, the statue was carved into the granite stone experience.
