Secretary of State , Jocelyn Benson , reported , Monday, Aug. 5, that about 970, 000 citizens have submitted an absentee ballot to be tabulated and about 73, 500 individuals have cast their ballots during earlier in-person election across the state.

The primary election season requires that clerks in the state provide an early in-person balloting requirement of at least nine days. The condition stems from a nationwide ballot plan approved by , Michigan , electors in 2022
During the early voting phase, which ended on Sunday, Benson claimed that 73,531 people in the state had cast their ballots in people. The highest attendance day was Friday, when 11, 085 votes were cast in people.
A total of 970, 041 completed absent vote had been returned for tallying as of Monday, Benson said.
When 1, 288, 025 completed absentee ballots were returned the day before the principal that year, the number fell little of the great mark.

In all, 1, 638, 830 citizens across the state requested an absentee ballot for this year’s principal.
Polling sites will be available Tuesday from , 7 a. m. until 8 p. m.
Eligible , Michigan , people can also register to vote Monday and Tuesday at their city or town clerk’s company with proof of citizenship. On the same day, voters may record and put a vote.
Voters who have n’t yet returned absentee ballots should either hand-deliver it to their local clerk’s office or place it in an official ballot drop box. Voters may not now send their votes by mail.
With exception to military and international absentee ballots, all absentee ballots may be received by clerk’s practices or drop boxes by , 8 p. m. Tuesday  , or they will not be counted.
