Pakistan announced on Wednesday that it was in touch with US regulators and was awaiting additional information regarding the alleged involvement of a Muslim federal in a flogged assassination plot involving former US President Donald Trump. ” Before giving our formal response, we also need to be certain of the origins of the individual in problem”, Pakistan’s foreign department said.
Asif Raza Merchant, a 46-year-old Muslim person, has been accused of plotting to attack a US legislator or government officials, according to the US Justice Department. A legal problem revealed that Merchant, a native of Karachi, allegedly has ties with Tehran. He claimed to have two families in Pakistan and one in Iran.
According to local media reports, Merchant reportedly held a position as a branch manager at a Karachi institution in 2010. His responsibilities included managing an property and liability collection of over Rs 1, 850 million, encompassing clients from different sectors including petroleum, textiles, leather, paper products, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, as well as several financial, corporate, and business clients.
Trader’s resume detailed his functions in marketing new customers, reviewing and monitoring tree financials, and preparing time and quarterly reviews.
In a lawsuit against Merchant, it was claimed that he was trying to persuade Americans to carry out the story in revenge for the death of Qasem Soleimani, the top commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, in a 2020 US drone strike in Baghdad.
