After weeks of fighting, an insurgent group fighting the Myanmar government finally took control of a northern city on a major road to China, according to a senior official of the rebel group.
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army, or TNLA, is a member of the Three Brotherhood Alliance, which is battling the junta that seized power in a 2021 revolution across Shan position in the north.  ,  ,
The team also seized Operation Command Headquarters No. 2 and the offices of two dictatorship battalions. The TNLA standard who wished to remain anonymous told Radio Free Asia that no one was injured on Monday in Kyaukme, a town on the way between Mandalay and Lashio.  ,
He claimed that Kyaukme was now under the full command of the TNLA.
RFA tried to contact Shan country’s dictatorship director, Khun Thein Maung, to inquire about the situation in Kyaukme but he did not respond by the time of release.  ,
If confirmed, the capture of Kyaukme by the TNLA would be another major loss for the causes of the dictatorship, coming just days after another part of the rebel empire seized the office of the military ‘s , Northeast Regional Command , in Lashio.
Lashio is about half-way between Myanmar’s next area of Mandalay and the Chinese borders.
Junta’s opposition
In Yangon, Myanmar’s largest city, and the investment Naypyidaw on Tuesday, junta supporters protested against the record of Lashio by the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army, or MNDAA.
” During the opposition, I witnessed members of the military government providing protection. A native of Yangon told RFA that some streets in front of Yangon City Hall had partially been closed. The defense government, it seems, organized and reinforced the demonstration.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the head of the Junta, claimed in a statement on Monday night that foreign nations have provided financing and technology assistance to insurgents.
He even claimed that rebels along the China-Myanmar borders have been manufacturing weapons and ammunition, and have sold those products to Women’s Defense Force armies.  ,
The Chinese Embassy in Yangon advised Chinese citizens to leave the area as soon as possible and avoid conflict areas as a result of the powerful struggling in Lashio and other Shan state locations.
One week after the MNDAA announced it had promote protecting Chinese assets and staff in Shan state, the embassy made a speech on Snapchat.
The Three Brotherhood Alliance even includes the MNDAA.
Mining and bombs
In Kyaukme, a citizen who witnessed Tuesday’s fighting that confirmed that the TNLA had captured the regime’s jobs that were defended by tunnels, tanks and mine areas.
” The dictatorship dug pits around all of the bases, including their Operation Command Headquarters, and built concrete tanks everywhere”, said the citizen, who declined to be identified, in fear of reprisals.
TNLA soldiers had used robots to drop bombs on the regime’s threats, the native said.
” The entire valley has been converted into a vault.” The coup had the upper hand, so the TNLA soldiers had to first gently clear the mines.
Estimated fatality numbers were not made by the TNLA or the junta.  ,
Residents of Kyaukme claimed junta forces had fled to a location close to 6 kilometers ( 4 miles ) away.
According to a former military officer, the regime’s subsequent retreat from Shan state was caused by its forces ‘ excessive divisions.
” The troops have been scattered in the mechanisms. It is an instinctive war technique of the defense leaders”, he said.
According to one citizen, some residents who had previously fled were returning to their homes in Kyaukme while others were avoiding them because they were concerned about coup attacks. Junta makes have launched several airstrikes in Shan state and abroad, inflicting a heavy burden on , citizens.
The resident claimed that the TNLA has been securing the area and that there has n’t been any shooting. ” The morning business is also operating normally. The only thing people are worried on is attacks. Everyone is frightened, the entire country is scared of planes”.
Following two settlements between the dictatorship and rebel groups that China-brokered, the Three Brotherhood Alliance broke ground in June with the codename Operation 1027, which the group had begun late last month.  ,  ,
