After Democrat guidelines apparently made it possible for him to be released, a former sex offender who was formerly imprisoned in a safe area prison for sexually aggressive animals in Washington was just indicted for the “receipt and ownership of pictures of child sexual abuse.”
U.S. Attorney Tessa M. Gorman announced in a press release on Wednesday that a federal grand jury had indicted 71-year-old Alan Lewis Meirhofer this week after a young boy found photos of child sexual abuse on a mobile he borrowed from him. The young boy gave the phone to his family after discovering the pictures, according to the press release, who called law enforcement. In March of this year, Mitchell was detained.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Merihofer’s event, the 71-year-old reportedly “befriended young boys in the Skagit County place by inviting them to stand out at his house, where he provided them gifts such as food, clothes, drinking, cash, and marijuana”. One of the kids, according to a press release on Wednesday, discovered that pictures of his companions had been distributed during a team talk when he borrowed Meirhofer’s telephone.
More than a dozen reports of child sexual abuse images with Meirhofer were discovered after the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) inquired from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMPEO ). According to the media launch, the 71-year-old was taken into national custody on July 17, 2024.

According to the press release on Wednesday, Meirhofer will face more severe penalties if found guilty of prior felony convictions.
” In 1988 Meirhofer was convicted of burglary, kidnapping and murder. Meirhofer was found guilty in 1990 of rape, first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, and second-degree assault. According to the press release, Meirhofer was legally committed to the sexually violent monster Civil Commitment Center on McNeil Island. He was declared to be the third stage of the highest risk of reoffending after being identified as a registered sex offender in 2017.
Court records reveal that Meirhofer had a diagnosis of “pedophilia, paraphilia no usually specified nonconsent, and character problem” despite his release from the Civil Commitment Center on McNeil Island in 2017.
According to The Post Millennial, Democrats in Washington passed legislation in 2021 to facilitate the transfer and distribution of sexual offenders similarly across state counties.
Meirhofer faces a minimum of 15 times and a maximum of 20 years in prison if he is convicted, according to Wednesday’s press release.
