Last year, Kinda Acting President/Nominee-Designate Kamala Harris mocked Trump for insisting on a Fox News conversation in September. ” What happened to any day, any location”? she tweeted.

Also, Trump just announced three days on three systems— including ABC News, which Trump is now suing for libel. The Harris camp almost immediately agreed to the ABC News debate ( hmm, I wonder why ) but has so far only said that she’s “happy” to “discuss” the other two.
You must understand why this is such a big deal before I get to the” I told you so” part.
Let me introduce the VodkaPundit edition of National Debate Chicken to those who are new to it. The Commission on Presidential Debates, which was established in 1987 and was able to cast my ballot, presided over the conversations for my whole adult life. From 1976-1984, the televised conversations — when there were any — were put on by the League of Women Voters.
Then in 1985, a group called the National Commission on Elections ( I have no idea what that was or is ) for unknown reasons suggested sponsoring the two major parties ‘ political debates, and Republicans and Democrats agreed to form the CPD for various reasons.
The reason for all the invective is that “bipartisan” often means what it appears to think. In Washington, “bipartisan” usually means” a piece of legislation so stupid, expensive, and destructive to our rights that both parties love it”, or” Democrats just rolled the Republicans again” . ,

Establishing the CPD fell under the following definition. You might have had the misery of watching any of those very biased conversations ( or have found my drunkblog policy to be true )! were a result of the GOP’s support of the Dems in a second republican payment.
That’s why it was therefore great in May when Trump agreed to issue President-elect Joe Biden entirely on his words and told the CPD to taking a flying leap ( my words, not his ).
” What, what”? You’re asking about audibly.
Was it a “difference without distinction” to agree to issue Biden on the ancient discussion chat boards but without the biased CPD? Even. But so much more enjoyable. Plus, Trump dispensed with the grape leaf of the “bipartisan” CPD and, as I wrote last year, “marched straight into the lion’s den, and showed the world that the cat had no teeth. Or talons. And really should have been napping”.
That’s why I also wrote last week ( same link ) that Trump should do the exact same thing with Harris and “accept her terms, no matter how ridiculous, and march into the lion’s den once more”.
