According to Dawn, Bangladeshi authorities are now under greater attention at international airports for the increasing number of orphans visiting middle eastern nations while being tourists.
A senior official informed the Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis that 90 % of orphans detained abroad are of Muslim descent.
Potential beggars were disguising themselves as tourists to travel to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, Oman, and Turkey, a senior official from Federal Investigation Agency ( FIA ) told Dawn.
The standard informed the news website that airport immigration workers have recently removed a number of people from planes in an effort to stop this trend.
