Israeli Hamas ‘ military affiliate reported on two separate incidents in Gaza on Monday that included an Israeli prisoner and two women who were both hurt by the group’s militants.
111 of the hostages held in Gaza are still being held, including 39, who the Jewish military claims are dead, compared to 251 victims that Palestinian militants took on Israel on October 7.
Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, said in a declaration:” In two separate situations, two volunteers assigned to guard army prisoners fired at a Zionist slave, killing him quickly, and even injured two female detainees analytically”.
The statement, posted on Telegram, did not identify the hostages or say when or where the incidents occurred, but noted “attempts are being made to save the lives” of the two women.
Hamas has established a committee to look into the shootings, according to Abu Obeida.
The Israeli military stated in a statement that it “needs no intelligence information to refute or confirm Hamas ‘ claims.”
The statement added that” we will continue to evaluate and confirm the message’s veracity.”
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, a spokesman for the Israeli military, stated earlier on Monday that” we do not forget for a moment the hostages being cruelly held by Hamas in Gaza.”
Given the length of time they have been in captivity and the harsh conditions there,” we are deeply concerned about their physical and mental condition.”
The October 7 attack resulted in the deaths of 1, 198 people, mostly civilians, according to an tally based on official Israeli figures.
Israel’s retaliatory military offensive in the Gaza Strip since then has killed at least 39, 897 people, according to the Hamas-run territory’s health ministry, which does not provide details on civilian and militant deaths.
