The former president’s plane landed in Billings, Montana on Friday after being delayed by a structural problem that prevented him from meeting with Tim Sheehy, the party’s nominee for the GOP Senate in Bozeman, Montana.
Trump’s aircraft was diverted on Friday due to a mechanical problem, according to airports officers, who confirmed to CBS News. Billings-Logan International Airport told CBS News that the former president’s flight “landed without event” on Friday evening in Montana, which is about 150 miles from where Trump’s march was scheduled to take place on Friday evening in Bozeman.
The previous president used another personal aircraft to fly to Bozeman for Friday night’s protest, according to airport authorities, despite the lack of details regarding the cause of the aircraft’s mechanical problem.
According to CBS News, while Trump’s rally in Bozeman was originally expected to begin at 8 p. m. native time ), the former president did not appear on level until about 9: 30 local time.
