If you caught Elon Musk’s meeting with Donald Trump Monday night, you know it was two hours of raw talk on a wide range of topics — the frontier, Kamala Harris’s report, power, foreign policy, and so on. Trump also stated that he wanted to abolish the Department of Education and give the state complete control of education.

The media normally pooh-poohed the exist conversation:
What’s interesting about the Trump/Musk @XSpaces meeting is that so many media outlets felt the need to write bad reports. They certainly realize the then 149 million people who looked in ( as of this writing ) were genuinely interested. And then they feel the danger. … photograph. twitter.com/yjvnbVdxT2— Jim Pfaff ( @jimpfaff ) August 13, 2024
Sure, the press liked to focus on the issues that delayed it from starting, but, nevertheless, it was a great accomplishment.  ,
Views of the conversation with @realDonaldTrump and subsequent discussions on other accounts total now worth$ 1 billion https ://t.co/s8x8Qmdmn Y— Elon Musk ( @elonmusk ) August 13, 2024
As you can see, the Kamala Harris campaign was n’t happy that Donald Trump had a chance to speak, and they immediately used the occasion as a fundraiser while making some false accusations.  ,
” Donald Trump’s fanaticism and harmful Project 2025 plan is a function not a glitch of his campaign, which was on full display for those unhappy enough to talk on now during whatever that was on X.com”, the Harris-Walz campaign said in a statement, unfortunately posted to X/Twitter. Trump’s whole campaign is intended to benefit self-centered wealthy people who may outsmart the middle course and who are unable to host video events in 2024, according to Elon Musk and himself.

Even though that speech was ridiculous, it pales in comparison to the message the campaign sent during the interview in an effort to raise some money.
This has gotta be the most trivial and deranged plan email of all time and it’s even more brilliant considering neither Kamala, nor Tim Walz have spent more than 0 minute doing an interview, a press conference, or any discussion. pic. twitter.com/abZBy7Ge10— Greg Price ( @greg_price11 ) August 13, 2024
If the campaign believes that Elon Musk is so evil and the platform is just a cesspool of misinformation and pro-Trump propaganda, why is n’t the campaign exclusively on alternative microblogging platforms, like Threads, Mastodon, or Bluesky? Further, why is the Kamala campaign paying Musk for a verified account?
The biggest problem, however, is that Kamala’s campaign is hardly ever in a position to criticize anyone for conducting an interview. Especially now that Musk has given Kamala a chance to appear on the platform for a discussion as well:
happy to host Kamala on X Spaces as well.

Kamala was also criticized by the Trump campaign for speaking out against the media:

President Trump has been addressing more than a million people about his winning strategy for the American people for more than an hour.
Kamala is a SMART about this because she shies away from interacting with the media, giving interviews, or even mentioning the platform she is even running on.
So pathetic. pic. twitter.com/H9KO7bErs7
