
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department ( PMD) has predicted more monsoon rains in the country from August 14 to 18, Geo News reported.
The wind department has predicted thunderstorms and lightning, as well as monsoon winds that are expected to hit the country’s upper and middle regions.
Additionally, the Met Office predicted that light rains may be possible in Sindh’s coastal areas, which will result in a partly cloudy atmosphere. From August 14 through August 18, it is likely to weather in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and different parts of Punjab.
According to Geo News, weather along with strong gusts is expected in Murree, Galyat, Chakwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Apart from these places, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara and Pakpattan may also experience rain showers.
Also, the met company said that weather with thunder and lightning is good in Kasur, Khushab and Sargodha. From August 14 to August 18, there will be weather rains with thunder and lightning in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The wind office said that Chitral, Dir, Swat, Bajaur, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Kurram, Orakzai, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan may even get weather rain.
Even though waterlogging issues remained a problem in many parts of Pakistan, the PMD has predicted a wetter-than-usual monsoon season. According to Geo News, it continues to be one of the nations that authorities claim is most susceptible to the effects of climate change’s severe weather.
Following a big downpour on August 11, Lahore witnessed flood-prone roads. Locals expressed concern about the street infrastructure’s weak condition, which caused daily traffic congestion.
