Colleague and AAUP leader: ‘ fabricated discussion cooked up by some right-wing Republicans ‘

The British doctor from Rutgers University who wrote about the assassination attempt of Donald Trump will return to teaching this fall.

Following her social media posts, which included” They shot his wig,” Rutgers had” under review.” Sad” ), but according to&nbsp, NJ.com, &nbsp, university spokeswoman Megan Schumann said Budd is slated to return to the classroom.

In response to” confidential officers matters,” Schumann did not provide additional information.

Ed Durr, a Republican presidential candidate, requested that Budd be fired for his notes, calling them “hateful and dangerous” and saying” New Jersey does not need folks like this teaching our children.”

Budd’s Rutgers partner Todd Wolfson, the new president of the American Association of University Professors, called the full position a “fabricated discussion cooked up by some right-wing Republicans”.

Wolfson, who just referred to GOP vice presidential candidate J. D. Vance as a “fascist”, added the exact Republicans “would not say anything about the stomach-turning things Donald Trump or J. D. Vance tweet all the time— including calling our members, who do the teaching and research at Rutgers,’ the foe.'”

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression’s Zachary Greenberg said it would be a “poor law” if Budd was fired over her remarks.

Public universities that are subject to the First Amendment must preserve their professors ‘ right to discuss common issues in times of heated political debate, according to Greenberg.

Budd, who according to her Linkedin accounts did her college and mentor work at Rutgers, has been teaching that since 2001. Her Women’s, Gender, and Gender Studies Dept. master’s thesis was titled” Homoglossia: Do Queers and Their Theorists Speak the Same Language”?

In a 2008 post from her ( now-defunct ) website, Budd described herself as a” socialist” and “far-leftist”.
