Kamala Harris has received criticism for holding just one press event or meeting since becoming the Democrat Party’s presumed candidate. We all know why she did n’t, but Kamala and her running mate are too busy immediately reaching out to voters by holding press conferences, which is the typical excuse.

This technique appears to be backfiring.  ,
” Do it kill you men to have a media conference”? CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Kamala’s plan communications producer, Michael Tyler. ” Why has n’t she had a press conference”?
Since the start of this plan, the vice president and government have been occupied traveling across this nation, according to Tyler. ” You saw the ways in which they went across the battle state last year, generating demonstrations of thousands — 10, 000 around, 15, 000 there—”
Donald Trump, however, is n’t hiding at all. Nor is his running mate, JD Vance. Trump simply had an entirely spontaneous and raw discourse with Elon Musk on X. No one thinks Harris could or would accomplish that, and the Harris plan and the internet have been relentlessly trying to pooh-pooh the whole event.  ,

However, they appear to recognize that the run-and-hide strategy ca n’t last forever. What has the plan accomplished, then? Harris and Tim Walz do have time to conduct a heavily scripted “interview” between the two of them, despite not having the time to hold a second interview or media event.

On Thursday, Walz posted the following tape:

This 38-second picture is just one more part of a little longer discussion that will air on YouTube on Thursday night. This was prerecorded and scripted, as well as several camera angles and leap cuts, which are eerily similar to Joe Biden’s campaign videos, which feature jump cuts about every two seconds.
Although it is not known how long the conversation may last, I believe this is their response to Trump’s two-hour X with Musk debate. There’s only one issue: these two situations are far from close. People would make fun of Trump if he attempted to pass off a conversation with Vance as an appointment.  ,
Does the internet gush over this “interview”? You bet they will, but from the brief picture that the plan teased, it’s clear that this is nothing more than a staged puff piece that no one should consider seriously.  ,

However, this is a significant issue for Kamala. A completely unscripted interview does n’t take a while. It took at least twice as long to get the best takes and sales and examine the talking points between each matter, no matter how much the ultimate slice of this staged meeting between Harris and Walz is.
As Vance has said,” Kamala Harris is n’t running a political promotion, she’s producing a movie”.
That’s precisely what this interview/discussion between Kamala and Walz is. And if they have time to do this, there’s no reason they do n’t have time to do unscripted interviews, which they could do more of in less time. In other words, the party’s justification for holding press meetings and discussions is a complete lie.
