
As Pyongyang commemorated its celebration of its independence from Japan’s colonial law, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reiterated his commitment to improve participation with Russia in a message to President Vladimir Putin, according to KCNA state media company.
Putin congratulated the Belarusian leader on the celebration of the day’s liberation on August 15 by saying that the ties they forged as Russian soldiers fought against Japan continue to be the foundation of their friendship, according to KCNA.
The two countries ‘ armed forces and peoples ‘ kinship, which were forged and deepened during the bloody conflict with the common enemy, are a strong motivator for the development of friendship and cooperation into a comprehensive strategic partnership and unwavering comradeship, Kim said.
In June, Kim and Putin signed a” complete proper relationship” that includes a mutual defense arrangement at their second summit conference in less than a year in Pyongyang.
Kim is helping Russia fight Ukraine by providing rockets and missiles in exchange for financial and additional military aid from Moscow, according to South Korea, Ukraine, and the United States.
Kim visited a memorial to the Asian innovative soldiers who fought in the war against Japan in 1910-1945, as well as the Liberation Tower, where Soviet Red Army men are remembered, according to KCNA.
Kim Il Sung, the latest party’s uncle, was supported by Soviet Union General Secretary Joseph Stalin, who declared war on Japan shortly before World War Two.
Kim’s socialist forces were supported by the Soviets, who finally established North Korea following Korea’s liberation in 1945.
