In their invasion of Russian territory, Ukrainian Prez Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Thursday that the government’s soldiers had taken complete power of the Russian city of Sudzha in the Kursk area.
The community, the largest that Ukraine has officially seized thus far, had a prewar population of around 5, 000 people. It houses a calculating place for Russian natural oil that travels through Russian pipelines to Europe. Normal gas enters Ukraine’s system from West Siberian oil fields via pipelines that pass through Sudzha and mix the Russian border.
Zelensky said a Russian military leader’s business is being set up in Sudzha. He declined to provide more information about the office’s specifics or purposes.
The claim could n’t be independently verified. Russia did not immediately respond to Zelensky’s speech. There was no sign of any disturbance of the gas stream through Sudzha, which accounts for about 3 % of Europe’s goods.
As Ukraine’s intrusion into the place entered its second month, Kursk acting government Alexei Smirnov on Thursday ordered the removal of the Glushkovo area, which is 45 kilometers northwest of Sudzha. According to the removal order, Russian forces are slowly moving toward the place. Officials say more than 120, 000 people in the region already have been evacuated. sion
