Judge “Grudge” DeThomasis Booted From What the Hale$ Case by Appellate Court!

Florida Judge Craig DeThomasis, who has earned the nickname” Judge Grudge” online, has been booted off a high-profile case against YouTuber Jeremy Hales of What the Hales fame. DeThomasis was found cause to be removed for discrimination by the administrative judge in Florida. DeThomasis revoked nearly a year of Hales ‘ constitutional rights, including his right to use weapons to defend himself from harm, without holding an evidentiary hearing in which case Hales would have been able to establish that he had been the subject of a phony state. &nbsp,

After receiving a protective order against her and her live-in friend John Cook for stalking and harassment in Ohio, Hales, who runs a YouTube channel with over 700, 000 readers and makes clips of treasure hunting in store units, was subjected to a hostile protective order from his cousin Lynette Preston. &nbsp,

DeThomasis spent 11 month listening to Preston’s problems, allowing her to evade her testimony and provide false information to the jury, while the prosecutor in Ohio saw the piece as a clear danger to the Hales ‘ protection. DeThomasis berated Hales and his attorneys viciously over numerous sessions, and Preston put off the momentary restraining order that forbade him from driving on the property’s road for months. The case’s specifics are available below.

Among other indignities, DeThomasis often spoke over Hales ‘ counsel, refused to let Hales present his case, threatened his lawyers with contempt, accused them of misleading the court, gave Preston, who was self-represented for a time, legal advice, argued on behalf of Preston, wasted the litigants ‘ time repeating the entire case history multiple times for no reason, blamed Hales for the constant delays in the case when all but one was caused by Preston and the judge, and attempted to make new case law to take away Hales ‘ first amendment right to report on his case publicly using a novel” cyberbullying” law that did n’t apply to Hales. It was certainly a sight to behold. You can watch my protection of those sessions on this YouTube video, a&nbsp.

Hales ‘ lawyers, Randy Shochet and Doreen Inkelees, wrote three gestures to recuse DeThomasis for discrimination that he denied vehemently, even going so far as to reject their quarrels with lengthy multi-page orders. Finally, Hales ‘ lawyers sent a summons of restriction to the First District Court of Appeals to question the higher court to replace him and evaluate DeThomasis’s activities in the case. And take him out as they did. &nbsp,

Finally, after months of waiting, the appellate court removed DeThomasis for illegal and biased judicial actions writing,” This court grants Hales’s request and issues the writ, finding that he has demonstrated a sufficient basis for disqualification in possibly his second, but certainly his third, motion”.

When no other adequate remedy is available, the Court argued that a writ of prohibition is required to “restrain the unlawful exercise of judicial functions.”

DeThomasis is a bad judge, and he ought to be fired from the bench completely in light of his actions in this case. Due to the fact that Hales is not the only litigant in DeThomasis ‘ court who has suffered horrendous treatment because of personal grievances the judge holds, complaints may be coming soon to the judicial oversight board. In the coming weeks, I’ll be covering another case, Gosney v. Griffith, where DeThomasis behaved equally aggressively toward Shochet, who was also the lawyer in that case. A judge should not be a judge who insults his clients with his dislike of an attorney. &nbsp,

Hales expressed relief after the decision to PJ Media and hopes to recoup his rights in front of a just judge. While we are happy about this personal victory, Hales expressed his sadness that the typical man and woman would not be able to pay the$ 100, 000 plus in legal fees to bring about justice in our nation. ” We agonize over how many lives Judge Craig DeThomasis has already lost because his blatant corruption cannot be fought against.” He must be permanently sacked from the bench. Hales will have to appear in court with a new judge in the case and begin from scratch. &nbsp,

DeThomasis has been added to my wall of recusals, resignations, and removals that I’ve been keeping over the years when bad judges, attorneys, and guardians ad litem resign in disgrace or are removed in cases I cover. In the montage below, you can see a compilation of Judge Grudge’s bad behavior and legal opinions on it. Good riddance.
