Previous mayor of San Francisco, Willie Brown, has threatened legal action against former US President Donald Trump for fabricating a false claim that they were close to colliding with one another in a plane. Brown claimed that he was lying in a new CBS News interview that he never shared a aircraft with Trump. Brown put forth the need for him to consider this action because” someone has got to make sure that he stops lying.”
” If he keeps it up, at some point, I’m going to offer him a taste of his own conduct”, Brown said. ” If he sues The New York Times for printing that I said he lied, I’m going to sue him”, he added.
Trump made the claim in response to a problem about Brown’s previous relationships with Vice President Kamala Harris. He said,” I know Willie Brown very well. In truth, I went down in a plane with him. We believed that this was the way to end things.
Nevertheless, it appears that Trump may have confused Brown with another politician.
During their plane ride, former California government Jerry Brown and Trump independently assessed light deterioration in 2018. Also, former state senator from California, Nate Holden, believes that Trump may have been making fun of him because they were almost in a plane up in 1990.
Brown emphasised that he would “absolutely” reimburse if necessary to protect his companions, especially Vice President Harris, from any negative associations with his title. He also denied Trump’s say that he had spoken severely about Harris, saying,” Never on a plane and not off a plane. Did n’t happen”.
When questioned about the possibility of a straightforward misunderstanding between Trump and Trump, Brown claimed that it was an attempt to undermine Harris and that it had been “deliberately misrepresentated for his own profit.”
Brown thinks that Trump dragged him into the discussion to make a potential bad impression on the Vice President.
