The lieutenant, who has not been identified, was in the 1000 block of West 6th Avenue in Corona soon after 1 a. m. when he saw a man and woman acting curiously, Sheriff Chad Bianco says in the picture. When the lieutenant tries to speak with them, the couple — identified as Eric John Nourani, 32, and Jennifer Rose Dobbins, 30 — run behind a building. The assistant follows. When he catches up with them,  , the film from his body-worn lens shows, he is attacked by Nourani.
” Kill him! Remove him”! Dobbins is repeated to Nourani throughout the assault.
The deputy is on top of Nourani on the ground, his hand on the man’s throat, while Dobbins grabs his arms and shouts again and again,” In the name of Jesus, I rebuke you”.
About two hours into the battle, Dobbins begins to push the lieutenant while he struggles with Nourani, and the lieutenant fires at Dobbins, killing her.
Dobbins cries out after being shot, and he appears to be laying several feet away as the people battle. ” Support me. Eric, I’m scared”, she says.
Shortly after the incident in June, coroner’s officials said Nourani was trying to take the officer’s weapon. In the movie, since Nourani struggles with the lieutenant, he shouts,” Find the gun”!
More than four hours after the fight started, when visitors arrive and pull Nourani up, both guys are out of breathing and panting but also wrestling.
Dobbins was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Nourani was booked on suspicion of murder, attempted murder of a peace officer, havoc and resisting an officer with crime. Even though the deputy fired the weapon, Norani is subject to felony murder charges under the state’s friend duty.
The California Department of Justice is investigating the deputy-involved killing.
