Following an attack by Afghan extremists on a boundary security post in Pakistan’s dangerous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, at least three security officers were killed.
In the early hours of Monday, insurgents attacked a Pakistani border surveillance article in the Wara Mamund city of Bajaur, which is located near the Pak-Afghan borders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) state. Three security staff were killed in the subsequent shootout, which happened in the Gardo market, according to sources.
It comes a time after four surveillance officers were killed in two distinct terrorist attacks in the same state.
In the militancy-stricken southeastern Lakki Marwat city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) state, on Sunday, armed militiamen attacked the Bargai police station. The Station House Officer ( SHO ), who was seriously injured with numerous bullet wounds during the clash, later died in the hospital.
In a distinct event, militants also attacked Frontier Constabulary cars in the Dera Ismail Khan district’s Dera Ismail Khan province’s Maddi neighborhood. At least two security officers were killed and three others were hurt in the attack.
