According to a family and alumnus,” I would certainly advise my daughters to apply to Columbia or different institutions that are n’t committed to protecting them as Zionists.”
Apparently, Columbia College graduates from a Hebrew great school in New York City are concerned about anti-Israel presentations.
The Ramaz School announced Sunday,” For the first time in over 20 years, we wo n’t have a Ramaz graduate enrolling at Columbia College.” No students are enrolling at Columbia College, despite the fact that one Ramaz learner will enroll in a split program called the School of General Studies at Columbia University.
The increase in membership appears to be related to growing concerns about racism on college campuses.
In order for our students and their families to make informed decisions about which schools are the best fit for them, the university stated,” Ramaz provides as little information as possible about the situation at several schools of attention.”
With the New York Post, Rory Lancman, a graduate of Columbia Law School and the father of two Ramaz graduates, shared his thoughts on current events at the Ivy League institution. Jewish people are choosing colleges and universities that take racism seriously, according to Lancman. ” I would not advise my daughters to apply to Columbia or other colleges that do n’t commit to protecting them as Jews.”
According to the New York Post and the , New York Post, he is also the” present director of corporate activities and top guidance at the Louis Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law.”
However, in the midst of anti-Israel rallies across the country last flower, Yeshiva University, an Catholic Jewish school in New York City, saw a 75 percent increase in exchange students.
According to Inside Higher Ed, school officials claim the rise in membership is “at least largely related to the pro-Palestinian rallies.”
Over the past year, Columbia University has experienced some of the most destructive anti-Israel presentations.
In one event, hundreds of students were detained after students barricaded themselves inside a school building. Most recently, anti-Israel protesters vandalized the house tower of Columbia University’s chief operating officer.
Additionally, three of the four Columbia University executives who were involved in a series of writings mocking students and Israeli leaders resigned this month.
Following these situations, the school’s leader, Minouche Shafik, resigned from her place next year, as recently reported by The College Fix.
