We’ve been told, over and over and over again, that Kamala Harris is the candidate of” joy”. Tim Walz, upon accepting his evil presidential election, thanked her for “bringing up the joy”. According to Rolling Stone, Harris ‘ “new politicians of happiness is the best way to combat fascism” are” the best ways to combat fascism.” The New York Times headlined,” Harris used to worry about laughing. Then joy is fueling her promotion”.

Presently, for most Americans, this simply is never a time of joy.
More than 35 % of respondents in no survey believe the country is heading in the right direction. Americans believe that America is headed in the wrong direction, in the opinion of two quarters. However, the supposed prospect of happiness has the endorsement of about 46 % of Americans, nearly 50 % are unfavorable on her. Due to three years of unusual prices, everyday items are now at least 20 % more expensive than they were in 2021. From Taiwan to Taiwan to the Middle East, confusion and conflict abound across the globe. Americana is no longer certain whether a person is distinct from a person, but they are also informed that it is crucial that they choose a woman as president.
But… pleasure.
It’s a beautiful marketing ploy, to be sure. Kamala Harris ‘ career has been filled with three noticeable characteristics: obvious and deceitful analysis, heavy-handed state interventionism, and odd, off-putting mannerisms ranging from word salad to laughter. But” pleasure” can be used as a weapon against all these expenses. She’s never deceptive– she’s authentic! She’s never tyrannical– she’s caring! She’s never uncomfortable and fraudulent– she’s joyous! You do n’t hear the odd cackling of a machine politician who is caught in a lie, you just hear laughter. It’s a pure burst of joy that comes straight from a woman’s inner dance floor. She is youth, she is happiness, she is a little animal that has broken out of the yolk!

Joy is also a weapon to be used against competitors. Donald Trump, we are told, is a member of shadows and revenge. JD Vance, his vice presidential candidate, is “weird” and autocratic. Why ca n’t they feel the joy?
In fact, why do n’t  , you feel the joy? Is anything bad with , you? Why ca n’t you bob your head to Beyonce’s” Freedom” while Kamala dances and Tim Walz pastes on a smile so broad it would turn Jack Nicholson’s Joker green with envy? Would you , love happiness?
All of this is, to put it mildly, somewhat frightening.
One thing is that Americans must vote for a presidential candidate based on her plans or even her rival’s alleged worthlessness. It is another to desire that we , feeling the happiness. It smells strongly of authoritarians from the prior, who all claimed that the people’s problems were the result of the people’s problems rather than those of their leaders. It is not a fluke that Joseph Stalin’s propaganda posters regularly featured little children gazing lovingly up at him, with the tagline emblazoned,” We Are Warmed By Stalin’s Affection”! Or that Mao’s advertisements also featured joyous children, with the terms,” Mao’s Words Bring Joy”! Or that Hitler, using the phrase” Strength Through Joy,” offered free trips to people of the German Labour Front! ( One legacy of” Strength Through Joy” was the German” People’s Car”, later to be known as the Volkswagen Beetle. )

Authoritarians demand mental devotion, not merely political loyalty.
Kamala Harris is not a Marxist, Maoist, or Nazi, even though the radical Democrat Party basic appears to be sympathetic to aspects of all three systems. It does suggest that authoritarianism slams its autocratic policies against them with the comforting platitudes of authoritarianism and maternalism and demands that you turn away from the real pleasures of life– community, religion, group in favor of a Big Brother. Or, in the case of Kamala Harris, a Big Mother.
Really feel the pleasure. And stop asking questions.
