Stephanie Grisham, the former press secretary for Donald Trump, delivered a vile criticism of her former employer on Day 2 of the Democrat National Convention in Chicago while formally supporting Kamala Harris. Grisham, who was the press secretary for the White House from July 2019 to April 2020, discussed how she changed from a steadfast supporter of Trump to a vocal writer.
Grisham accused Trump of lacking values and made fun of his followers on television, supposedly calling them “basement residents.” She recalled a crucial time following the riots that occurred on January 6 at the Capitol, revealing that she had urged Melania Trump to post in favor of quiet protests. When Melania refused, Grisham decided it was time to move over.
” I was n’t just a Trump supporter, I was a true believer. I was one of his closest experts”, Grisham said during her talk. ” Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his followers. He calls them floor residents. He has no emotion, no ethics, and no loyalty to the truth”.
Grisham even described the events of January 6, saying,” I asked Melania if we could at least post that, while relaxing opposition is the straight of every American, there’s no place for violence or murder. She replied with one expression,’ No.'” Following this trade, Grisham was the first top staffer to step down from the Trump administration.
” I love my nation more than my bash”, Grisham continued. ” Kamala Harris tells the truth. She respects the British people, and she has my vote”.
Grisham’s talk marked a significant time at the agreement, as she is one of the few Republicans to handle the Democrat meeting. The 48-year-old woman urged GOP voters to support her in ensuring Trump always wins the White House ahead of her notes. ” I never thought I’d be speaking at a Democrat convention”, Grisham stated. However, I feel very clearly about speaking out after first-hand seeing who Donald Trump really is and the threat he poses to our land.
