Simply admits students whose’ intercourse assigned at birth is female,” regularly’ determine as women
One of the few remaining women-only colleges in the United States has chosen to remain that way.
Sweet Briar College, a small, exclusive establishment in Virginia, stuck to its origins as a women’s class when it recently updated its admissions policy, according to ABC 13 News.
According to the university website,” An candidate is qualified for entrance if she confirms that her sex at birth is feminine and that she regularly lives andidentifies as a woman.”
The college claimed that its leaders made modifications to the plan in a speech to ABC 13 in response to concerns that new “gender options” on the Common Application form might confuse possible students.
The variety is a uniform online form that enables students to submit a single application to several colleges and universities. More than 900 organizations accept the program, according to The Princeton Review.
This time, the software began listing “multiple female options”, Sweet Briar stated. The Board and College administration had to survey the College’s admissions policy because of the distress it brings with applicants for admission to a children’s school like Sweet Briar.
Officials concluded by deciding to continue the school’s” 123-year responsibility to just say women”, and understand what it means by “woman”, it stated.
The College claims that it understands the phrase in its ancient and traditional way in accordance with the intentions of our founder because social and other influences are now calling the meaning of the term “woman” into question.
Some individuals were not happy with the decision, according to ABC 13:
On-campus venues, such as the Student Government Association, took to Instagram to express their concerns with the legislation, saying it’s transphobic. …
A scholar, who asked to remain anonymous, expressed their grief over this plan.
Students who may be transgender, who may be transgender, who have female on their birth certificate but do n’t identify as a woman are now required to present as female, the student said.
Most children’s institutions then admit students who “identify as female”, a College Fix study found.
The U. S. has almost 30 children’s schools, but merely three, including Sweet Briar, admit girls entirely. The remainder allow genetic adult learners who “identify as female” – including” transgender”, “nonbinary”, “agender”, and “gender substance” – to participate at their institutions.
