At the Democrat agreement, significant numbers from both functions, including the Obamas, are rallying behind Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election. Unsurprisingly, a sizable number of Democrats have likewise urged conservatives to give up supporting Donald Trump.
    Criticism of Trump’s leadership
Their goal is to persuade Democrats and independents to endorse Harris and dismiss Trump as a threat to politics. Among those who expressed their concern are former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan and former White House connections producer Stephanie Grisham, who both cited Trump’s actions and behavior as justifications for their departure.
    Trump critics ‘ individual experience
Geoff Duncan from the agreement period on Wednesday,” Let me be evident to my Democratic friends at home watching.” ” If you vote for Kamala Harris in 2024 you’re not a Democrat, you’re a patriot”.
Duncan described Trump as” a direct risk to democracy”. He directed his remarks at Republicans and politicians who” sick and tired of making mistakes” for Trump. He added,” These days our gathering acts more like a religion, a religion worshipping a criminal thug”.
Stephanie Grisham, who after carefully worked with Trump, shared her concerns during her speech on Tuesday, labelling Trump as a liar who lacks emotion, morals, and devotion to the facts.
” I saw him when the devices were turned off.” Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his followers, he calls them floor inhabitants”, Grisham said.
Grisham, who also served as chief of staff to Melania Trump, recounted her shift from being a” true believer” to a disillusioned advisor. She asked Melania Trump to reject the crime at a crucial moment during the January 6 Capitol rebellion.
” On January 6 I asked Melania if we could at least statement that while relaxing opposition is the straight of every American, there’s no place for violence or murder”, Grisham explained. ” She replied with one expression,’ No’. Grisham resigned that morning, stating”, I love my country more than my group. ” She concluded by affirming”, Harris has my voting.”
    growing issues affecting the GOP
John Giles, the Mayor of Mesa, Arizona, expressed his dissatisfaction with the current condition of the Republican Party, comparing it to a religion led by Trump. Giles, a longtime Republican, admired the delayed Senator John McCain and lamented how the party has changed.
” My Republican Party has been kidnapped by radicals and devolved into a religion: the worship of Donald Trump,” Giles told the agreement.
He urged other Republicans to acknowledge that” John McCain’s Republican Party is gone, and we do n’t deserve a damn thing to what’s been left behind.”
During the protocol, organisers even showcased past Trump voters who explained their change in affiliation. Rich Logis, a vote in Florida, acknowledged his prior aid for Trump but stressed the need for change.
” I made a grave error,” Logis admitted in a video”. But it’s never to late to change your head.”
Olivia Troye, a former counter-terrorism assistant for Vice President Mike Pence, also spoke at the agreement.
Adam Kinzinger, another popular Republican critic of Trump and former senator, is set to target the market on the final evening.
    Effects of Republican resignations
Trump has frequently labelled these critics as criminals, and there’s uncertainty about their persuasive power. David Urban, a Republican assistant to Trump’s 2016 plan, downplayed their possible effect but acknowledged that Duncan’s presence does affect some voters in Georgia.
While the effect of these Democrats speaking against Trump is still unknown, their appearance at the Democratic convention highlights the growing concern in GOP lines about Trump’s influence and party way.
