As if! Alicia Silverstone knowingly ingested a poisonous peach and lived to inform about it.
The” Clueless” star sparked concern this week after she nibbled on the fruit during a trip to England, even though she knew it was n’t a run-of-the-mill cherry tomato.
” OK, I’ve discovered something that I ca n’t figure out what it is and I need your help”, the 47-year-old actor said Monday in a video posted on TikTok and Instagram, adding that she had found the brightly colored berry on a sidewalk. Because it was on the street and we were arguing whether or not it was a vegetable, I merely bit into it.

The” Blast From the Past” and” Excess Baggage” star then dropped the orange-hued berry, adding that it was “definitely not” a tomato because of the leaves growing from the plant — a bush that was partially behind a gate. ” So what the devil is this? Because when you open it up it looks like that ( shows white seeds ) and if I bite it — I do n’t think you’re supposed to eat this, but it’s almost like a pepper. Does anyone have any idea what this means?
Silverstone’s followers agreed — she was n’t supposed to eat it — and identified the plant as the mildly poisonous Jerusalem cherry ( Solanum pseudocapsicum ). The plant is part of the dark genus community and is dangerous if eaten, specifically its unripened fruit or leaves, and can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, vomiting, trembling, numbness, sleep or even suicide.
” Jerusalem Cherry – toxic”, a TikTok user said, helping Silverstone determine the plant.
People took issue with her courage.
” That’s called a’ it’s not yours. You should n’t feel it,'” one commenter wrote.
Another wrote,” Think looking into your front gardens and seeing Alicia Silverstone nibbling on your garden.”
Another person referred to eating obscure items from the bushes as “non-anxiety that I can just aspire to”
Mercedes apologized and returned to the websites almost 24 hours later to reassure fans that she had lived to tell the story by noting her concern for her well-being.
” Alive and effectively! Do n’t worry … I did n’t swallow”, she wrote, referring to a racy” Clueless” quip and posting an old glamour shot. The comments were filled with pleasure gurgles, jokes about her 1995 humor, and delicate slurs directed at the vegan actor.
” Captain of the Pismo Beach Disaster Relief is SAFE”! believer Ryan Scott wrote on Instagram. Scott had dedicated a blog on his network to Silverstone’s well-being, recently writing,” It’s been 24 hours since Alicia Silverstone ate a hazardous fruit in London and no one has heard from her since. UGH, AS IF”!
” Beautiful reply”! wrote another.
” I came here for this assurance. Happy you’re healthful”! another person said.
However, another man felt the need to go all-caps and say,” You broke principle one, which states NEVER EAT ANYTHING GROWING THAT YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS!” “!
