Vice President Kamala Harris laced her Democratic National Convention conversation with lies that claimed Republicans and former president Donald Trump were radical whose opinions are contrary to those of the majority of the nation in an effort to cover up her own pregnancy fanaticism.
On Thursday night, Harris reiterated her belief that anyone who wishes to stop their baby’s life during any of their nine months of pregnancy may be allowed to do so. The majority of Americans are against the Democrats ‘ pro-life agenda, but that did n’t stop Harris from claiming that Americans want the death and danger associated with her proposal to pass legislation that would codify infanticide until birth.
” And when Congress passes a bill to restore sexual liberty, as President of the United States, I may proudly sign it into law”, Harris declared
Harris ‘ first lie was making up his mind that a law that would “restore reproductive freedom” would actually allow more people to have abortions, but almost 70 percent of them felt their abortions were forced, unwanted, or otherwise harmful.
Progressives have falsely claimed that doctors are no longer permitted to address ectopic pregnancies or abortions since the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson choice. But, Harris specifically stated to her DNC viewers on Thursday that the rescue laws , which protect thousands of innocent people from elected abortions each year, prevent women from receiving the attention they need from a spontaneous maternity loss or complications.
” Over the past two decades, I’ve traveled across our nation and people have told me their tales of miscarrying in a parking lot, developing fever, and losing the ability to have children every because doctors are concerned they might go to jail for caring for their people,” Harris said.
There is a distinct legal difference between an prompted abortion, which intentionally intends to end the life of the child, and the medically defined” unexpected abortions” such as an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, or premature delivery with the intent of saving the baby and mother.
States that establish a cap on the length of time in the pregnancy do not make remedies for unexpected birth defects or complications illegal. In fact, every pro-life statute currently includes an exemption for pregnancy when it is deemed essential to keep a pregnant woman’s life.  ,
Harris ‘ rests, however, did not stop it. Rather, she pivoted to attacking Trump.
In only 45 seconds, Harris falsely accused her opponent of trying to “limit exposure to baby control”, ban the , most popular , and , dangerous , abortifacient medicine regime on the market, “enact a nationwide abortion ban with or without Congress”, name” a regional anti-abortion coordinator”, and “force states to report on women’s miscarriages and abortions”.
That spiel is completely untrue.
Trump ‘s , 2024 abortion platform , explicitly states decisions about ending life in the womb should be left “up to the states”.
For months now, the GOP presidential nominee swore , he would not sign federal legislation curbing abortion. His running mate Sen. J. D. Vance, similarly claimed the pill responsible , for a , 500 percent increase , in abortion-related emergency room visits should remain legal and “accessible”.
Contrary to Harris ‘ assertions, the former president has not made crowning a national pro-life coordinator a hallmark of his campaign. Nor has he demanded better abortion reporting, despite the lack of baby-killing data from radical states like , California, Maryland, New Hampshire, and New Jersey.
Harris tried to make up the fact that Trump is to blame if a family is” cut off in the middle of IVF treatments children,” but Trump has publicly praised in vitro fertilization as a method that Republicans and pro-life conservatives should support despite its shortcomings.
Trump once more stated his views on IVF, birth control, and abortion in a post to Truth Social during Harris ‘ Thursday night speech.
” I do not limit access to birth control or I. V. F. – THAT IS A LIE, these are all false stories that she’s making up, that I’ve never even heard of. It’s just words coming out of her mouth”, Trump wrote.

Harris ‘ litany of lies was well-deserving of a fact-check, but many of the major media outlets that pride themselves on nitpicking everything Trump says, including CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS and Mediaite, chose to elevate and celebrate Harris ‘ deception-riddled abortion rhetoric instead.

The few corporate media outlets that did bother to “fact-check” Harris ‘ speech downplayed her falsehoods. CNN specifically suggested that Harris ‘ wildly inaccurate assertions about Trump’s pro-life record merely “left out some significant context.”
” There were n’t a lot of fact-checkable claims tonight period”, CNN’s Daniel Dale told Jake Tapper during his on-air analysis of Harris ‘ speech.
