Old tweets from Elon Musk criticizing Trump’s age and eligibility for the administration have resurfaced after Elon Musk announced his full backing for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for the future US national elections.
” Trump may be 82 at end of term, which is too aged to be chief executive of anyone, let alone the United States of America. If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he does n’t even need to campaign”, Musk had said in a tweet back in 2022.
Musk’s message was not a one-liner critic; it was sent at a time when Trump had formally accused him of being dishonest about his election story. At a protest in Alaska, Trump claimed that Musk had erroneously denied election for a Republican member, saying,” You know, he said the other day,’ Oh, I’ve always voted for a Republican.’ I said,’ I did n’t know that, he told me he voted for me. So he’s another bull *** performer.'”
In response to Trump’s notes, Musk took to what was then Online, now X, to understand his place. ” I do n’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat &, sail into the sunset”, Musk tweeted. In addition, he added that Trump would be too ancient and that DeSantis would win simply and without much work if he faced off against President Joe Biden in the 2024 election.
The relationships between Musk and Trump but, appear to be shifting once again. Trump, who is currently a Republican presidential candidate for the 2024 election, has made it known that if he were to re-elect Musk, he did consider him for a significant position in his presidency. Musk also, has extended his complete assistance to Trump.
During a campaign stop in York, Pennsylvania, Trump praised Musk’s knowledge and modern thinking, suggesting that the Tesla CEO may potentially serve as a major director or even meet his cabinet.
” He’s a very smart person. I certainly did, if he would do it, I certainly did. He’s a beautiful guy”, Trump remarked, following a two-hour connection with Musk on X, the social media platform Musk then owns.
