According to the New York Post, California Governor Gavin Newsom just said in an interview that he was” told to say” that the approach that gave Vice President Kamala Harris the Democratic nomination was” an open and inclusive method.”
This statement comes after President Biden announced last month that he would not run for re-election, opening the door for Harris to take the lead on the seat. Harris has seen a surge in polling and fundraising despite not having received any seats from the Democratic Party public, with the gathering fast rallying behind her.
Gavin Newsom’s playful jab at Kamala Harris’ nomination process
Newsom’s remarks during a” Pod Save America” interview posted Friday have sparked conversation. He comically described the election process, saying,” We went through a pretty open procedure, a very inclusive approach. It was bottom-up, I do n’t know if you know that. That’s what I’ve been told to say”, and laughed.

Additionally, Newsom joked about how quickly the election decision was made, suggesting that Progressives had a 30-minute agreement between President Biden’s comments on July 21, when he announced his exit from the competition, and endorsing Harris. ” It’s been amazing”, stated Newsom, who himself is seen as a possible future political candidate.
Political characters have argued that the selection process was impartial and not biased in Harris ‘ favor, including Nancy Pelosi. However, the picture of Newsom’s comments has drawn condemnation as it circulated on social media.
Criticism from common characters sparked controversy on social media.
The Party of Democracy is laughing about how unjust and opaque their selection and imposing of the new Democratic presidential candidate on the populace, according to journalist Glenn Greenwald.
Another writer remarked,” Gavin Newsom is informed that the Harris election was a top-down invasion, and they are all skeptical about it. Is this the’ politics ‘ they aim to protect? What a cruel prank about their own supporters and this nation.
