Beijing: China’s military announced on Monday that it had organized mutual air-base police patrols and military units to maintain stability and security as the conflict between the ruling junta of Myanmar and rebel forces gets worse.
The guards will rely on Ruili, Zhenkang and other frontline places, the government said in a speech.
The Southern Theater of the Foreign People’s Liberation Army organised military units to examine troops ‘ ability to “quickly walk, block and control, and strike up, and maintain security and stability in the border areas”, the military said.
As a result of fighting between Myanmar’s dictatorship and rebels, Chinese officials announced plans to conduct additional drills close to the country’s border.
China claims that the turmoil is affecting the country’s steadiness and social order along the border.
Wang Yi, the country’s foreign secretary, added that it would carry on “its commitment to regain peace and stability in Myanmar.”
