Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, stated on Sunday that he has endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as leader of India’s second conference on peace. He added, however, that a nation that did not ratify the preceding summit’s communiqué can host the summit, according to Reuters.
He said that conversations were afoot with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and Switzerland for organizing the peace conference.
This came after PM Modi’s traditional attend to war-torn Ukraine on Friday where he asserted India’s position as a peace-loving state.
” We were no natural from day one, we have taken a part, and we stand solidly for peacefulness”, PM Modi had said.
In November of this year, the second harmony conference is scheduled to take place.
Ukraine hosted its first conference in Switzerland, which saw contribution from members of 92 places, though Russia was not included.
